We might wonder why this...

Просмотров 6811 месяцев назад
The Korban Shelamim, commonly translated as "the Peace Offering," is unique among the sacrifices: it is the only sacrifice in which the owner is permitted to, and in fact commanded to, partake in the offering. This might seem like an innocuous detail, but it actually presents us with two important problems. Given that, as we will see, the Torah's attitude towards human consumption of animal mea...

And why are you saying we are fundamentally different than the animals? Which ones? We are not fundamentally different than most of the animals on this earth. That’s just not so!

PS … even worse, as I review her video, she’s aware of these issues and consciously refuses to consider them

The problem with Beth’s analysis of the ethics of eating meat is that it depends strictly on Torah/Hebrew Scripture and fails to consider the nature of commercial agriculture and the results of cognitive ethology research on the animals, and environmental issues. If you deal just with Torah the case for veganism is not strong. When you consider the Torah in light of modern knowledge, the case for veganism and animal rights is very strong! She’s not seeing the larger picture for some reason!
