There was a group picture taken 100 and some years ago in front of what was the new church then… We went and took a group picture in front of the shell of the old sanctuary this morning. Back then, there was 300 to 500 people in that picture, and I will venture to say that there was over 2000 people in today’s picture.

I grew up in this church and I have thousands of wonderful memories of my time there, singing in the choir and being with the sweet people who loved God sincerely. It was an historic landmark in the state of Texas as it was over 130 years old. The architecture was beautiful and the inside of the sanctuary was too. The stained glass windows were breathtaking. I am glad no one was hurt, but I am very sad to see such destruction of this wonderful place.
