I've been to 4 hcs events including the kickoff in Raleigh, and man the decline of each event venue every season is depressing

Having went to this HCS event and pretty much all events since year one, i would say this was one of the most passionate events I’ve experienced. You may not think of the Brit’s when you think of Halo, but just cause you’re not aware of them doesn’t mean that them and the entirety of Europe fan base doesn’t exist. Which is honestly what we need for Halo to keep growing, in today’s esports world we need to be supportive of expanding beyond NA. Also it was held in a massive sports stadium, which I give, does look small to the viewer. Its does have that hotel conference vibe from that perspective. But being there, felt way different than typical convention halls. You were able to watch some games and then head outside near the pitch pretty easily which was a unique experience and felt like a cool mix of esports and traditional sports. What I think this event did pretty well given the circumstance of its venue was realize how much we miss the passionate of the main stage when the players were directly across from each other. We see this at feature streams at typical convention halls, but not on main stage with direct camera views, which lead to some pretty fun clips. Do I wish they had a more fluid venue where the feature and main area were connected, yeah. Would I say this was a disappointment and poor atmosphere, absolutely not.

As a brit who used to be into halo esports since 2, it dropped off big time. All passion went when reach was finished. Sad to say I'm glad I didn't bother to travel down there.

The worst part about this game is the character roster, it is so damn uninteresting, and some of the picks make no sense.
