So far it’s been really good. With it being a 2.5 it was cheap to buy. But it’s slow. However that means stock brakes/pads and road tyres are good enough.

It’s a standard 986 with the 2.5ltr engine, suspension is coilovers and poly bushed arms. road tyres with standard brake pads. Have removed around 80 kilos

Standard 2.5 engine and power output. I have lowered it and fitted some polyurethane bushes. Standard brakes and road tyres 👍🏻

@@2ltrrabbit I’m thinking of getting one of these for a daily and the odd track day. Any issues with the dreaded IMS or anything? That’s the only thing holding me back, so I’m keen to know if you’ve had any issues because clearly you’re not hanging about and driving the car as it should be 😎👍🏼

They are excellent cars for the track. I’ve only had it a year and just went for the cheapest one for sale. I’ve heard the 2.5 are reliable probably because they only have 200bhp. It’s 25 years old tho

The car in front is driven by a friend so you have trust. I would have only been able to pass if he lifted to let me pass. Track discipline is excellent here
