Shooting With a 57 Year Old Camera - Minolta SR7 Test Roll
They are good cameras! I bought a Sears KS Super from a thrift store that was filthy too. It seems that no matter where you get it, unless it’s new, they’re dirty.
I was given one from the owners of a monthly camera show I used to help promote online as payment. But they gave me film and cameras as payment. So I have one I bought at the Salvation Army that was cruddy muddy looking and it came with a lens. I usually will wrap it in plastic from thrift stores because it could have roaches. And let it sit for months in my car.
A good camera. I love mine. I also have another one that I bought all dirty from a thrift store.
At first I thought that was a normal blade and that this guy was just an absolute giant
Nope, just my girlie pocket knife 😅
I usually do voiceover. Couldn’t swing it with this video. Will keep that in mind, thanks!
Very nice, a voice over would be great too
Thank you! It’s in process.
Beautiful work seems like the makings of a photo book.

hello mam, I found some problem with your video which is why your video doesn't have views . can i share to you this problem ?
Sure! I’ve watched it a few times before posting and this is the common amount of views for my channel just posting. However, I am open to positive criticism.
Thanks! It’s amazing how complex the topic is.
Thanks!
Your biggest fam!!!
I've always viewed love based on emotions and feelings.
I Love it!!
Love this 😃😃😃 you gotta do one for each season of the year and maybe color?? Your skills are AMAZING
Thank you! Definitely an idea for 2023!
What a beautiful place to be alone just thinking about doing nothing!!!🤫🫢congratulations and good luck in whatever you do in life 🤫
Thank you! Same to you.
Looking at these shots, the composition is interesting but wonder if it is overcast or a bit underexposed. You can get tonal range w b&w film, but a brighter day can give better depth of field and sharper image. Still nicely done. Hope you keep posting.
Thank you!
How a film camera operates is by lifting the mirror that is behind the lens and letting the light hit the film directly, therefore there is no reason why the dust in the viewfinder will affect the picture. Only if the film had dust and the dust was not remove prior to development would there be dust in the pictures.
Just acquired a refurbished Minolta SRT202, and while it is a relatively heavy camera, the build & lens quality are amazing. Those who missed film photography don’t know the pleasures of film. Film requires more patience, there isn’t a microchip to help you. There is no software involved-unless you scan the negatives from film. We hope film stays relevant for many years to come. Kodak, keep making B&W and Ektachrome 100.
Congratulations on your purchase! It’s definitely a classic! I agree, there is a skill set that is required when shooting film. In addition to that, there’s just something about film, taking an image from concept to an actual print is satisfying.
Can you use a light spray of can of air and get that out?
I wouldn’t recommend that. I have seen others do it but I wouldn’t.
How come? Just curious
Ketocraft Fabio You could blow the dust into other parts of the view finder.
@@jenethompsonart is there a way to get the dust out of the mirror/viewfinder then?
I see you!!!!
The BlackMacgyver hey you!
Love the photos in this video! Especially of the close up palm tree! I would like to see how the cameras you have now compare to the cameras you've had in the past. Along with which camera you feel would be best for a beginner
Thank you! Sounds like a RUclips video coming up!
Awesome!
Thank you!
Brilliant. Absolutely.
Thank you!
Nice captures. Definitely frame-worthy. You should offer a few for limited edition sale.
Thank you! Will do! I have a few surprises for my website coming soon.
The picture of the water 😍🔥
Kiana Richards thank you! That is one of my favorites too.
Very cool video - not the kind I usually find here on RUclips. I wish I had gotten into photography earlier in my life in the days of film. Very enjoyable. Thank you 👍 Makes me reflect on the content on my RUclips Channel.
David Sornberger Photography thank you! It’s never too late to get into film😉 Nice channel btw.
