That's not the right song, the correct song would be Neo Green Hill's theme, not Proto Palace.

I can prove that this isn't Dust Hill's theme; Dust Hill was originally going to be a ruined version of Emerald Hill, this music is too happy for a ruined level. I first heard this music in my home.

This is tropical plant music, because this music plays on empty zone. If compare this to concept arts, you will see - that it tropical plant. And im think this music didnt fits wood zone at all, even metropolis - fits this zone better. This zone has dangerous and this is forest. Not beach.

Dust Hill Zone wtf you're all taking this is the 2 player theme of Mystic Cave Zone on the original Sonic 2 on the Sega Mega Drive.

The music I heard on Sonic 2 was only placed for the 2-player Mystic Cave Zone. For 1-player zones, the secret Rock World Zone also plays the music taking place in Emerald Hill Zone Act 2 at the bottom layer. Dust Hill's desert has been renamed to Sand Shower Zone taking place on top of the Oil Ocean Zone using the Aquatic Ruin Zone music, be careful about the quicksands, they may kill you instantly. The snowy version of Dust Hill's has been renamed to Snowy Winter Zone which is accessed by jumping through Miles Prower's airplane, at the end of Snowy Winter Zone there's a door which leads to the final stage of Cyber City Zone. But this is a mod for Sonic 2 who installed on PC, but modding Sonic 2 on mobile may be more difficult. The Snowy Winter Zone plays the Sky Chase Zone music.

Jesus lord how many times did thes beta tracks change during development, especially Oil Ocean First Oil Ocean played this. then it was apparently the casino night 2 player theme then that was also used for genocide city but since that was scrapped and ended up becoming metropolis act 3 leaving it with casino night zone, which had a different track all together And then this song ended up being for mystic cave 2 player but then the 2013 re-release made it the hidden palace zone theme which ALSO had another theme that was scrapped What is this tomfoolery

Nah, Metropolis music fits it better though, It is in the actual unused woods zone.

Despite that I prefer this song being the dust hill zone music it just suits it for some reason

The music is actually for Hidden Palace when it was going to be a level. The desert zone's name was Sand Shower, not Dust Hill. Dust Hill was an early name for Mystic Cave.

This is basically nothing like the Wood Zone Music. This is actually the 2 player version of Emerald Hill. Wood zone is basically the Metropolis music.
