The Complete Magic of Tolkien and Middle Earth
Thank you for sharing another good video with us 👊🏻
it looks like a continuation of original a Motte-and-bailey castle. It's exceptional to see this and that it wasn't replaced by younger types of castle through the centuries.
The “he is dead” interpretation is IMHO much too simple. The first time we all read TW is straightforwardly, like children do, and that is also a good way to do it. Then go back and read it very slowly. Make notes. Think carefully about each situation. It’s easy to miss things like the ointment in the eye causing the glamourie. An example is when he looks in the mirror and then backs away towards the door, all the while observing himself in the mirror. When his back touches the door he looks over his shoulder and sees himself in the mirror standing against the door and looking over his shoulder. This is obviously the view from the mirror. It implies (mathematically) that the room is a toroidal space. There are a ton of mathematical references and tricks, as well as religious references (for example the Buddhist references to the river that constantly flows and changes but is always the same river) and so on. I went back through the book and made notes, and then noted the references, and my notes were almost as long as the book in the end. This is such a dense book, although the text seems very sparse. One thing: read the apocalyptic ending very carefully. It is easy to miss something important!!
Thank you. I will go back. I spoke to Alan Garner recently but never got to follow up on this.
Wonderful! Thank you for uploading this. My wife and I (no kids yet) live in the Silicon Valley of the San Francisco Bay Area in California; and, we love "Clarkson's Farm!" When we visit the UK, we don't want to visit the tourist traps or cities like London, Edinburgh, Manchester, Belfast, etc. We would rather visit the many beautiful towns, villages and farming communities in-between. We want to experience life in the UK and eat, drink and see what the locals eat, drink and see. We want to interact with the people. There is much more allure and charm in such a visit than going to Tower Bridge, Buckingham Palace or that giant wheel in London.
The countryside is the last bit of old school England. So be careful where you go, try York city, as a city then get a car and drive
Thanks for sharing this with everyone & it's always good for people who support their local businesses
Hey. I'm trying to find your warduke channel. Can you post or send a link? Thanks.

Nice day out nice vlog
Thank you for the video. My favorite is Gothic however I do like Victorian and even some Edwardian of architecture I think it looks amazing. It's not really that difficult with the round windows as you might think. You should watch some videos on it in your spare time.
Yes, at over 30 I should still get to egg hunt. Big letdown that didn't happen today. Thank you Emma for doing things properly.
I hope you all enjoyed yourself
Nice From you’re nephew
What I see with the Massive Elephants...Total War Warhammer....NORSCA....HAWOOO!
Our old home in ogden, west yorkshire was called greenhome. However, though later in years the new owners re named it boggart brig.
I love boggarts
Wait, did you just subtly reveal that you're expecting?
Haha yes
@@westerncultureandtradition Congrats!
i Am sorry for the loss of your dog. Dogs are very special. thank you for sharing.
Very nice portable stove 👍🏻 you can also make a rocket stove just by digging 2 holes in the ground also with a big log just cord it out on the side and top
Cool stove. I like the little setup you have going there as a kitchen. Make me really look forward to go camping with the dogs in a few weeks. We just adopted a British Bulldog 2 weeks ago and her name is Taz, as in Looney Tunes, and she is a devil. I'm not sure if she is ready to go camping yet. Good to see everyone, including the dogs, and I hope you are all doing well. Take care!!!!!
Thank you. Enjoy the dog.
nice stove but no good if its not avalible!!!
Very interesting, and well presented.
It's hard losing anyone family, friends or a pet. I've heard of that tradition as well. Next time you should put lye in the hole so it speeds up the process also put a little fence around so you're or other animals don't dig up the dirt because the hole isn't that deep.
Instant indication of a blocked flue pipe/spark arrestor
Thanks for the video 👍🏻
Also have the same sir name
Not enough draw as the stove gets blocked up. Use good dry hardwood and avoid soft wood. I went camping with mine in Switzerland and all the local timber was dry softwood which left so much residue and creosote in the stove and so I had to clean it every couple of days with a wire brush and a long screwdriver
It's not safe to use tent stoves indoors. But thank God you have a c02 detector. Be safe and stay warm
What kind of backer board did you use?
Just standard fire backer from local shop. Heat board.
Don't forget to remove the side plates on the right hand side plate and scrape all the creosote out too.
If it makes you feel any better, the reverse side of that bookmark is unintentionally a clear and obvious phallus.
Thanks for the book review
the earth is flat, not a spinning ball. there is no "space"
Do what some college kids did - buy a weather balloon, put a go-pro on it, watch and learn, as part of the oblate sphere we are spinning on is revealed, admire its curvature! you just being silly no? or, explore the exciting edge of your flat earth, and come back with pictures. You just are silly aren't you.
@@mistag3860 The earth is flat plane, not a spinning ball. There is no "outer space". "For the pillars of the earth are the Lord's; He has set the circle of the earth upon them." - 1. Book of Samuel 2:8 - Bible 1933/1938
Oh, Hebraic spin-offs of Babylonian judicial and religious literature. Cute. The science required to build your computer literally denies your worldview, but you're just too ignorant to know how
Clean it regularly mine did that and the spark arrest the holes sometimes clog
Bonjour Peut on le laisser dehors toute l'année sans protection de pluie..?.. croyez-vous qu'il finirait par rouiller ?..je voudrai faire une cuisine extérieure . Merci pour votre réponse.. Bonne journée
Yes... this happened to my stove.. solved partially by buying fire rope and sealing the door better... the oven also loses heat due to this issue... In a tent they work wonderfully but in an enclosed space not so.. But seal the doors... and batten your wood small and pre dry in the oven for way less smoke... also I have to clean it all out every day or it will soot up and the stack pipe will block with soot and creosote... the burner doesn't get anyway near hot enough to keep the flue clear indoors.
restart it again and do it properly EEEEE BAAAAAA GUM LAD.
Will do fella
😂😂😂
my pal gets paid to point like that
rings for guy rope when camping.
piping goes inside flange towards your log burner so the tar overtime does not trickle outside your flu pipe but inside insted. double flange begins at log burner.
Thank you for that. It just did not seem to go that way but thank you,
hoover for the ash ya silly bugger. bloody students.
I’m deffo not a student I’m 45 lol
@@westerncultureandtradition you are not a jedi yet then young man!
You need to ram the muck in.
sounds proper mad, really hope the barn doesnt take too long for you guys...
Me too. Maybe two years. We have a playlist here
When I was younger I traveled to my great grandparents in Tipperary they had no electricity and only wood burning for heat & cooking. In the Marines when I was overseas the desert got really cold at night but nothing like when I lived in a 8ft by 8ft trapper shack in Alaska for 3 months. Hunting, fishing, foraging and or growing your own food just living off the land. Living like that it really shows what kind of person you are with simpler or the basic necessities. You just have to endure for a little while until your place is finish annual be all the better and thankful for it. 👍🏻
Wow. I clicked in the video without realizing it was one of your channels, Antony. Good surprise.
Haha glad you found me
Clean it. Is not maintenance free
well said i think he is a bloody student.
What height is your flue? Is there enough pressure there to force the draw? 3m flue?
Thanks for the video. I don't know much about the story before the 6 movies just a little bit. That's only because I didn't read any of the books.
okay. its good to talk about this worldchanging storys of hobbits leaving there home having adventurees. more of it pls. sorry ... whats the red thumb thing?
I, an author on Japanese history so when I sign things I red ink thumb print it
Just came over from your samurai and ninja channel. I posted this question over there, but it's better suited on this channel. Have you come across anything about how Tolkien was influenced by Gnostic religious ideas? The Silmarillion copies the creation myth and gods/angels of Gnosticism. The elves represent the perfecti, Gnostic religions talk about different ages ("The Third Age") , etc. I've read the majority of his letters, but haven't found anything. The Nag Hammadi library was found in 1945; too late to influence the books. My only thought is that he must of interacted with the ideas through some type of secret order like the Rosicrucians.
I would say I do not know enough about gnostic religion to have a good idea. I will keep my eye out.
Didn't realize you were into Tolkein
I love western traditions as well as Japanese
Thank you for the video it's interesting
