Absolute fantastic pairing of voices. I’ve loved both their voices for years. What an amazing composer he was to write a whole opera besides all the songs we are so familiar with. If he’d lived longer the beautiful music he could have created. Montserrat and Freddie now angels ❤❤
I think it was a p r relations hitch up, Col forced Elvis to be seen and photographed with as many up and coming holkywoid starlets as posdible, his early gurlfruends will attest to that. Elvis,s mum thought she was way too "fast for Elvis, and she apparently though he wasn't "fast " enough. Elvis,s mum was good judge of character and he had always taken girls home to meet his parents, she knew from day one what a shark the Col was. Had she bern around longer his mum would have steered him in different directions that his fame took him.

Natalie had that velvet shirt, that Elvis wore at his Tupelo homecoming concert, specially made for him by her Hollywood dressmakers. From what I've read Natalie had the hots for him much more than the other, and Elvis was taking it slow, and it pis$ed Natalie off. Elvis' mother warned Elvis to stay away from Hollywood girls, and when Natalie came to stay in Memphis, his Mom made it uncomfortable for her and she split early. Too bad, they were a dynamic duo.
