Good Food Exchange x Lettuce Help Center
Over 390,000 tons of edible food is sent to the landfill every year in Washington state. A new partnership between Seattle Good Business Network, Cascadia Produce, and Cedar Grove is changing that, keeping good food on plates and out of the landfill, and paying farmers for their food.
This surplus and recovered food is distributed to food security organizations like GoodRoots, where customers can shop for free fresh food in a market setting or pick up on their own schedule, and to businesses like Mojito, that is turning this rescued food into nourishing free meals for communities in need and on their menu for all to enjoy.

I visited family in Washington and we went to Seastar for dinner. Absolutely LOVED the food and atmosphere. Our server (can't remember her name) was really great and overall we just had a really, really nice time here.
