The FASTEST Way to Add Lyrics to Your Worship Video [ProPresenter Chroma Key]
Amazing video! I’d have a question.. What about if I have a 1080p output with video and audio. Is it possible to use the Mini Converter HDMI to SDI, get the 2.0 sound from the jacks and video from the SDI output? Or maybe another solution is to use the Micro converter HDMI to SDI 3G and get the sound from the 2nd SDI output and de-embed into a Mini Converter SDI to Audio? Are one of these feasible?
Mini Converter Quad SDI to HDMI 4K can someone explain this converter to me
It looks like this converter is no longer produced. If you happen to have one, it allows you to either convert one 6G SDI signal into 4K HDMI, or sum either 2 3G SDI signals or 4 HD-SDI signals into 4K over HDMI.
sekarang mah gak perlu sesusah ini semenjak ada capcut :)
I have a BMD Bi-Directional SDI/HDMI 3G converter. 1) This works fine when I connect a video source to SDI IN and HDMI OUT to Monitor #1. 2) It also works if I connect a laptop to HDMI IN and SDI OUT to Monitor #2 with BMD Micro Converter SDI to HDMI. This also works if I have the above plus HDMI OUT to Monitor #1. It also works if I replace this second monitor with a different monitor. This will be important in a bit. 3) The problem occurs when I connect the video source to SDI IN and SDI OUT to Monitor #2 and HDMI OUT to Monitor #1. What I see is that both monitors flash on and off. The same thing occurs if I replace Monitor #2 with another monitor. If I disconnect Monitor #2, the other Monitor (#1) works just fine. If I have Monitor #2 connected and disconnect Monitor #1, the problem is still there. I bought a second BMD Bi-Directional SDI/HDMI 3G converter and it did the same thing. Monitor #2 is not the problem as I tried a different monitor in step 2) with good results, and the problem repeated itself in 3). I also tried a two other SDI to HDMI converters (BMD and cheap Chinese model) at Monitor #2 with the same results. To summarize: If I connect a video source to SDI IN and SDI OUT goes to Monitor #2, I get both Monitors flashing. If I disconnect Monitor #2 from the SDI connection, Monitor #1 works just fine. Any ideas what is wrong or something else I need to try?
Nothing super obvious here, so here's what I would try: 1. Have you connected the USB to a computer and seen if there is a firmware update available? Download and run the Blackmagic Converters Setup software from their website if you haven't. 2. You can also use the above software to edit the settings on the device. It's possible you need the change the SDI Out settings from Level A to Level B, or vice-versa. 3. Is this a field monitor we are talking about? It sounds like something that takes SDI in directly. If so, see if there are video-in settings you can adjust... it's possible the SDI Out is coming in at 1/2 the frame rate/data rate as what that monitor needs or is looking for.
Should I buy the a7C or the a7IV?
For what use?
.. idnt think u know what u saying,,,it s all wrong
Thanks, Spencer. Good stuff here.
Glad you enjoyed it!

4k hq record time?
Are you thinking of ProRes HQ?
Hi Spencer, highly appreciated that you talked a lot more about video than about photo unlike almost all other reviewers! Nevertheless do I think that you undererstimate the problem with overheating in 120P 4K. The overheating problem starts with switching on, not just with with recording. This will most likely be even more true if the pre-recording feature is used. Wildlife people like me sometimes have to wait the 22 or 26 minutes or more just until the desired action takes place. Switching on when the actions starts is no best practice. So the camera stays on in pre-recording mode, doesn't yet produce a video (waiting for the action...) and starts to overheat. Switching off after 22 or whattheever minutes due to overheating is a deal-breaker for the desired action. That's what's not really attracting me in terms of this R5 upgrade. Also the cooling grip might produce a permanent sound that animals will definitely be able to detect, so that might also be not really feasible. Animals can also hear the (or humans) silent AF motors. I am interested in your opinion of this aspect. KR Ralf
Hi KR, Very cool that you are doing that kind of video work! It seems like you have assessed it pretty thoroughly, my only thought was using an external recorder… but it doesn’t support 120p output. A larger cine-style camera will allow for unlimited 4K 120p, but might be louder and most certainly will be bulkier. Not ideal, but probably the better of the two options, although the R5 fan attachment might not be too bad
Can anyone tell me if I need some kind of booster I'm coming straight out of a computer and to 6 daisy chained televisions the farthest distance is 80 ft. Thanks
Yes. HDMI degrades after approx. 50 feet. Best option is probably to run HDMI>SDI from computer, then put an SDI>HDMI box at every TV. They run on USB power now, so you can just stick the box behind the TV at each location and use the SDI passthrough to continue your daisy chain.
Why dont use Display Port?
DisplayPort is designed for computers and monitors, but no cameras (that I've ever heard of) come with DP output.
Hey Spencer. Peace of thw Lord. Thank you very much for the information. Can you guide me how to do that? I want to support my Chirch at Portugal for live translation from Portuguese to English and vis a vis.. ThankS. God bless you..
Hi Martin, See the Part 2 video for a detailed 'how-to' discussion about signal path and more. You can also send an email to hello@churchvideoschool.com if you want more help and we can work on a plan together for your church.
Make the copper center conductor longer. It's easier to get in the hole that way. Then after it's crimped, snip it off flush with the end of the connector.
Cool setup! What is the link for the desk?
Just added the link in the description! IDK how I forgot that one lol
Thanks!
Wow, nice space and great news regarding the baby. Do I see a second MacBook Pro under the monitor?
Good eye! Yes, and there *might* be a third one from college under the desk too... 😅
definitely a good buy for me 🤩
great, tnx!
First! By the way, the recording limit doesnt mean it will overheat after 15 minutes. I think this might be misunderstood by viewers if not explained correctly. You can still record after, and most users notice the heat after an hour. It will improve if you are in a temp controlled environment. Another thing is this is meant for quick point and shoot situations but with full frame quality. Most users will shoot short bursts rather than record a full dinner or timelapse. But, if you wanna go pro. All these have workarounds. Limit, hotshoe, grip, evf... these all have workarounds. Its just not needed by casual users.
Appreciate the clarification that you don’t have to shut it down after 15 minutes necessarily. I think this camera is great for what it’s designed for, just not for the kinds of shooting I do most often
Nice video... but... GH5 has 4k 60P 10 bits HDMI out, stereo mic, optional(400,00 $) full XLR module, 12 stop DR( not 13 :/)
Forgive my ignorance about the 4K60p 10-bit output, I just confirmed that yes, you are right. I never shoot in NTSC mode on mine, which is why I've never seen that option. Mic might be stereo, but it's still bad. XLR module is overpriced. I misspoke on the DR, but it's semantics - the GH5 is not good in low light situations. I'd consider updating this video, but the market has changed a lot in 4 years!
Awesome 😎 thanks for the information!
I did not realize until after I ordered that you are referencing RG59 connectors, not RG6. Since I have RG6 cables, it was a total bust. Now I'm on the search for compression RG6 HD-SDI connectors.
RG59 and RG6 are types of cable braiding, not types of connectors. They both take BNC. With that said, I'm sorry to hear that your BNC connectors didn't work with the RG6 cable you bought. Could you share what brand you purchased so others don't run into the same issue?
THIS HAS TO BE FOR ME RIGHT HERE!!! i APPRECITE THE INFO. I WOULD HAVE NEVER EVEN KNOWN SOMETHING LIKE THIS EXISTED. BIG UPS FOR YOU MY GUY. SUBCRIBED
Great video and explanation
Why is all for curch i wish some help formy son to put toghrther hisseveral music videos on violin in the same video
Actually GH5 has 400+800 native ISO. And I think it also has a stereo mike, not mono. Try the holes on either side of the logo in front.
Appreciate your succinct features, benefits and value analysis. Also, realistic perspective on price…”if you’re in this range, this is remarkable value and ecosystem” kind of language. These are pro-grade entry level price that still holds pretty true today. We use two BMPCC 4K’s, but if these were out, would likely have bought them 4 years ago. Would have had a hard time justifying the pro over plus, but pro has better future value.
Which App can I use to translate live videos?
Interactio.io
Thank You!
Ok, what's a thunderbolt
They are high-bandwidth USB cables. They look like USB-C, but cost much more. Essential for most Mac devices to connect to video peripherals
VHS player? 😂 bruh. Did everybody forget how to spell VCR? 🤣 lord help us
I left VCR back where you got your profile pic lol
Do the Teranex mini's (or micro converters) work with HDCP? I.e. Can you connect a non-camera source like an Apple TV or Nvidia Shield to the models that have an HDMI Input?
I haven't had trouble with it personally - everything using HDMI has HDCP, but only DVD's and other protected content should actually trigger it
There’s only a few converters that will actually pass HDCP protected content, two of them are the Apantac Crescent DA-HDTV-SDI and then Ensemble Designs has one which I can’t remember the model number of
If i want to use Camera Control of multiple BMD Cameras, is it possible to have 1 output from the switcher and distribute it with the SDI Distributor to multiple cameras? Or do i need multiple Outputs directly from the switcher?
Good question - my understanding is that it needs to be a 1:1 connection, but you should reach out to BMD directly to confirm
Why are there 100s of thread on the internet saying this doesn't work? Because it doesn't work for me. Can you use both thunderbolt ports simultaneously on the mac mini m1?
Yes
Great work but this just proves that black magic is a dick company with gear that is sdi when most inputs are going to be hdmi.. because we all have come cams. I have many BLM systems but because of their gouging might sell it all off and go with a more functional system.
Alternative take: Before BMD, everything for live video was SDI. Your option with cheap cameras was to sell them and buy more expensive gear that works with SDI. No one is forcing you to buy their gear my guy
Hi, thanks for your video. Is there any difference in image quality between the "mini converter updowncross hd" and teranex mini sdi to hdmi for SD to HD conversion? I have read that the mini converter uses Teranex logarithms... but is it ultimately the same as Teranex mini? Can the teranex mini sdi to hdmi deinterlace an SD to HD?
Industry standard signal flow charting is left to right. Your slides show the reverse.
I hope you can manage? 🤷♂️
No sweat on my end. It's more a matter of professional polish on yours. I wasn't complaining; I was trying to help.
Thank you. After much looking i finally found a video that talked about the lens needed for small to medium size churches. A little more detail would have been good but I'll take what I can get. We are about 45 to 50 feet away from the pulpit and like to zoom up for a bust shot.
do you know if when i receive all proxies (from arri, red, sony) if they will relink once i get the original files?
without them having to make an fcpx file
You’ll need to share the same FCPX library file, but as long as the file names match the originals they will relink
The workflow would be shoot > proxy > send remote. They wouldn't have started working on it@@ProfitandPixels
You need to make the proxies in FCPX for this to work, so there will be a library file already. Set the proxies to be stored outside of the library for space and organization
Hi, I have the Atem 1 m/e production 4k and I'm ingesting my cameras well with SdI at 2160p 30fps so SDI 6G, but when I try to connect my macbook laptop the image won't appear, I have tried using the Hdmi to SDI 4k converter, but somehow nothing shows. Any advice, thanks so much! Blessings!
Great video sir!
Thank you kindly!
You can use Speech Translator browser extension to do real-time captioning and real-time translation.

Glad it was helpful!
I need a lens for the blackmagic 6k pro, for video in a church, at a distance of 20 meters, what lens do you recommend, please 🙏
24-105mm is a good start. Download my Gear Guide for a complete list of lenses and other options, link in description
Hello
You deserve more views and subscribers. Thanks for this, it helps me make a decision today. :)
Glad I could help!
Hi, hope you're alright, noticed you haven't made any videos in a while. @@ProfitandPixels . Just had to consult video gear guide again. thanks.
Thank you for the video. What about each hdmi out latency? And can I change hdmi out fps in bmpcc 4k?
The latency is the same as any other HDMI camera, very minimal. And yes, you can use any of the available frame rates over HDMI, but they are all 1080p or lower just FYI!
The info given about the Analog to Digital (SDI) is not of any use for people starting with this, first the graphic @6:35 is wrong ! second, the advise to convert analog VCR footage can't be done without any "clean up" of the unstable analog video signal, (a passthrough device is needed) stable signals like game consoles, might work, if resolutions match with what the BMD converter is able to handle. It would be better to have done some research before making this video. I hope there are not more of this kind of mistakes in this video...
If you’re using a VCR in 2023, I don’t think this channel is for you
@@ProfitandPixels in that case you should not mention a VHS player, because it doesn't work the way you mention it.
I have a question. If I live stream in 720p and I have a 4k camera. Which one do u recommend
You may not need a converter, most streaming encoders can change the streaming resolution internally.
