I have no doubt that this iron farm is so great and the best for this game version.. but while I'm trying to build it I noticed this and wanted to ask about it.. please tell me why the glass block that the villagers standing on looks higher at the few minutes than the time you were saying that it should be the same level of the water flow or that egde.. it's definitely higher at the end of the video.. even look at the rail road, you can see that it's going higher than what it's supposed to be if you follow your instruction about the villagers' level being the same of the Golem's spawn level.. did anyone tried to do this farm and found it out as I did?

Thanks dude, seems to work. I know its about 7 years too late but I started a world on Beta 1.3 and have been updating it ever so often, and Im no 1.2.5 and I really wanted to make an Iron Farm. So thanks dude.

Thanks very much for the tutorial! :) Just built one with a water channel on a 1.13.2 skyblock and it works great! I put one 2x2 over the center, then evenly spaced 8 more 2x2 just 1 air above the water. This way I can grow all the trees at once for the first round then future rounds, as I chop and replant, trees grow quick enough.

Why chest minecrat for what?

The reason theres no hoppers is because it was made in 2012 so there is pistons to stop the iron despawning after a while.

you don't even need the pistons you can use hoppers that go into chests

Any way to have a chest that you can put coal in and the coal goes to the minecart with chest?

Pigeon is on the right track it looks like. We didn't go to a christian server by the way... I had offers to play on a couple but have decided not to. I did however build the potion brewer but never had a chance to test it. Shouldn't be hard to fix. Looking forward to seeing the ice castle. You really should invest in a quieter keyboard! by putting the torch underneath the rail, it also powers the block, which then powers the hopper, and then disables the middle hopper. all is not lost though, just put the torch above the rails instead! :)
