South Weymouth Naval Airbase runway taken back by nature.

This former runway at the South Shore Naval Airbase is being taken back by nature and has evolved into a wonderful nature area. This Cold War relic is Forever Gone as a military installation and this time nature gets the win. I’ll post a longer form on this area in a bit but it’s a hidden South Shore gem.

Hobo Railways 2000
Просмотров 2383 года назад
Hobo Weekend became a Father's Day tradition at Garden Craft in Hanover Massachusetts in the late 90's ending with an epic two day event in the year 2000. Hobo Weekend 2000 included local garden railway tours via trolley bus, rides, games, food and fun. Hobo Railways 2000 was produced (by me) to remember the event. The video includes scenes from the event, local garden railways and Edaville Rai...

Is this a cicada sound or a frog sound?
Thank you!! So happy to eat these in a salad. I'm going to candy some too!! Thank you and have a beautiful day❤❤❤😊
How about for those that dont have an garden i live in a apartment 😊
Wow !Thank you for the tip! I was trying to figure out why the oranges tasted bitter, it was already in my yard. That tip with the leaves did it. Thank you so much!!
Oh boy a post from two years ago! Lets gooo! Anyway, You probably found your answer already but let me explain a few things. First Cicadas usually never call at night unless: it is a full moon, there is a lot of artificial light, there are too many cicadas and they are overcrowded, or when disturbed or attacked. So, I have no idea where you recorded this is Hanover or the temperature and I really do not feel like searching it up, but it seems the average temp is 71 degrees Fahrenheit. which is not hot so I would say that is a point to the frog with the limited details I know (oh and frogs? Yeah, at night hey will never shut the frickity frack up. Where I live, I hear this sound at night, and I am not in Massachusetts, so chances are it is a frog) and that weird gurgling that you hear during it at around 0.07 is most certainly a frog noise. I would know because I saved a bunch of tadpoles on my pool cover and put them in a little pool and they grew up and screamed so loud I wished I had left them. I listened to some cicada sounds from Massachusetts and heard not much of anything. Oh, and also There was no cicada outbreak 2 years ago in Massachusetts to my knowledge meaning it was only annual cicadas. This much lessens the chances of overcrowding and the kinds of cicadas limiting the chances of cicada once more. and there are 10 main frogs that call Massachusetts their home and only 9 cicadas. Adding the fact that it would only be annual ones. Frogs outnumber cicadas with pure numbers. Also get ready for 2025 whoever you are because according to edge that is when the next cicada outbreak is :) (last one was in 2008) Anyway hopes this helps!
Can’t see it
He spent too much time on the history and the parts of the bulb. Title of the video said how to take care of the plant after Easter. But you spent about five seconds on that. I really did not learn how to take care of the plant after Easter. Thanks anyway.
Can this azalea get 7 hours of Sun?
I just bought 2 on clearance at Lowe’s… tag says part sun 3-6 hours. 😅 I know your question was from 2 years ago; I’m researching what others think about this shrub as well- haven’t gone to smell if the leaves smell like hot dogs 🌭 or not per video 😂
Does Easter lily flower scentless...??
They have a strong fragrance… learned it the hard way lol
Monarch is a beautiful dog
This is my favorite trail in Hingham. I love biking down the path at the entrance near South school.

YOUR VIDEO TOLD ME SH--!
How much water do these need? Also, how far apart should each root ball be? THANKS FOR YOUR VIDEO! I like how simple you made it sound! :) I'm absolutely clueless when it comes to plants!
You have a great voice. Thanks for the video
OMG Josh... This is awesome! Thanks for sending that to me! I’m trying to figure out how to save this. I had to laugh... who dances like that at a prom these days??? Not a single twerk in sight - thankfully😆. Hope you and the family are well.
