Epic Bull Elk Dead Head Find!
We were out checking traps when we came upon two bull elk who had died after locking antlers and crashing through a barbed wire fence. Very unusual find and a bad way to go for two nice bulls. #hunting #trapping #antlers #animals #nature #dead #trophy

We caught one angry little bobcat and successfully released him without causing him any harm from a foothold trap. Very beautiful little critter. Pretty smooth process if you have two people. Shed antler hunting is one of our favorite activities. Bull elk leave some nice sheds and once in a while, you get lucky! We found some great antlers up on the mountain including a really nice matching pair.

2021 Fall trapping excursions in Norther Utah. This is compilation of our first part of the trapping season which included our first ever coyotes and our first badger. We did fairly good with a variety of animals all within a short time of our traps being set.

We had been talking to this Wyoming Bull for probably around 15 minutes before he finally came screaming out of the timber. The kill shot was high but it took him right down.
That would be a very expensive taxidermy bill for me. I'll have my taxidermy duplicate that

Found a bull that got killed by another bull but never anything like that. Super cool find and really cool sharing it with your kids.

Nice!! What type of trap do you use?
My go to trap is a Bridger #3 coil spring with offset jaws. They haven't let me down so we keep using 'em but we are pretty new to trapping so I should probably branch out a little. I have a few equivalent in the Duke brand and they are good but have rounded jaws instead of square and for some reason I like the square jaws better. They just tend to fit better in the trap bed in my opinion 🤷. Thanks for watching!
