I had an early Marlin, single shot, bolt action .22 rifle growing up, I sold when I went into the Navy. Two days after I got out of the Navy (Dec 1972) I went to the local pawn shop, looking for the Marlin, and found instead the Winchester 67a. I purchased it for $19.00 used, but immaculate shape. I have used it since, hunting rabbits, squirrels, even dove ... impressed with the accuracy and range of that 27" barrel, with iron sights, and it will go to my son, and likely to one of my great grandsons.

It’s not made in England. It’s actually made and assembled in three different countries assembled in steps. Stocks and blueing done in America after Being imported through Virginia. They have a lot of problems with safety issues. I’m fixing one now for my brother. It fires with any slight touch to the safety. They can be made to be very accurate rifles. They are very nicely blued with nice looking stocks. Real steel trigger guards. Steel trigger and steel iron sights. A gun like that would cost around $1300.00 if built Today. My brothers rifle isn’t even broke in yet. Never even had glass optics on it yet.
