now I'm certain it was you , Bruce, who i met one day at a beautiful little café in kincardine Ontario on a beautiful day. but i had to hop in my truck and drive away. 2008 ish. the lions are here! Don't worry. Time is near. Imprecatory prayer is better than death and destruction. There won't be an end to this till Yahushua returns. .

I always scratch my head when people talk about, what is referred to as, the religious right. I know a lot of these people, and they are as diverse in their opinions as other definable groups. Do they find politicians on the right more in line with what they believe in? Liberals do the same. Does it mean the left is monolithic, as the religious right is often described? I know of no communities in the US where someone is afraid to express a liberal opinion for fear of violence. Alternatively, when I'm with a bunch of liberals, they have group think, too. It's absolutely predictable what they are going to say. The thing with people who even think Christianity is in some way worthy of any observance, have to struggle with directives like if you have two coats, give one away. Not tax the guy with 10 coats & make him give away 5. People on the left & the right in the US all pad their life with disposable income, yes, on different kinds of padding. Seems that might be some common ground for people who aspire to be set aside in some way by a transcendent power, than the usual observations on one group has become totally unreasonable.

The singing is phenomenal but what really struck me is the way he sits back almost suddently after the last note, as if utterly exhausted. Somehow it was entirely the right thing to do, a very honest gesture for the song’s terribly sad ending, which one can tell has affected him as much as it has us.

I have adored his music for years. I can't understand/comprehend how musicians can continually write great music. I have seen him numerous times in the last twenty years and have met him probably the same amount of times. I created a portrait of him some time ago, brought it to a show of his in Madison, WI, and had him autograph the painting. It is my most favorite piece of BC memorabilia I own.

The bombers weren’t targeting innocent civilians they were targeting the room above where not so innocent people were meeting to plan similar things. The fact there was no warning wasn’t planned as it is obvious the bomb went off prematurely as one of the bombers died in the blast. I’m not justifying the act but full context has to be taken into account when looking back at these things. I was on the Shankill that day within the hour as part of the Army Plant Team who operated out of Antrim but had equipment based in the Girdwood Barracks off the Crumlin Road. I was actually supposed to be the machine operator clearing the debris but in arrival there was a Civilian Machine Operator clearing the debris with a Case Backhoe on site. Tensions were obviously very high and given we arrived In Civilianised Equipment and were not from the area it was deemed too risky for us to get directly involved. We were back the next day however in full green kit with a heavier machine to assists with SOCO and the RUC going under the remaining structure looking for any further evidence. That’s when I clocked the Mural on the walls upstairs which I’d seen many times on UTV as the Paramilitaries used it as a back drop for their Media releases. I served in the Province between 93-95 and was mortared in Crossmaglen before the Ceasefire so witnessed both the carnage of the final year and the subsequent change under the Peace Agreement that followed. I have mixed views on what I witnessed and experienced but have come to realise that the killing has all been in vain. That ordinary people have had their lives permanently ruined by others chasing ideologies that ultimately suit no one but a select few who remain in power. The state doesn’t give a toss about Northern Ireland other than what it can get from Northern Ireland and given the fact that holding on to it is currently costing around £10bn a year it doesn’t take too much of an imagination to think at some point the U.K. will most likely hand it back to the Irish. That might offend some reading this of course and I unreservedly apologise for that but the fact is the only reason to hold onto it is as a trophy from Empire that has long since disappeared. I also think Brexit has signalled the beginning of the end of an 800 year occupation that truth be told should never have happened in the first place. I take no pride in being part of that. I just thank my lord and saviour that I survived it and am able to talk and look at it through older eyes. For those who unfortunately can’t through the carnage it caused the I say May God bless you all and may you rest in eternal peace. 🙏🏼❤️✝️❤️🙏🏼 Love Thy Neighbour

I've loved Bruce's music since the 70's.. long before coming to faith. I say this in love, as a Christian. It's not what you or I think about an issue. Rather, it's what does God think about an issue? What does His Word say about it? That is the plumb line, not politics or faulty human logic.
