Love his music and there is not a bigger Roxy Ferry fan than me but his voice is shot he seems to whisper his voice is not the same so sad
Well he is now 74 (71 when this was filmed) - he's been singing for 50 years. But if you think about what all this involves then it's not so surprising that his voice is a shadow of what it once was. But age alone kills the singing voice even without the trappings of excess such as alcohol, drugs, smoking, and partying. He's done remarkably well considering many of his contemporaries are no longer with us. He has nothing to prove to anyone, and doesn't need to tour around the world. But he does so because that's what he loves. He lives for performing in front of crowds. Retirement doesn't feature, as that's for those with 9 to 5 jobs!

I'm also 50. I remember driving my car to work with WTSHNN blasting out the window! The live version is much better but when this album was released, it changed my world.
Lol, I love that album in 1987 I used to wear a distressed Levi’s jacket full of tapes in the pockets and one of them it was “The Joshua tree”
