My 1971 Mustang much 1 shakes side to side, it feels like I'm losing control. Do you think the rear sway Bar will fix that problem?
I would look into the tires first and maybe get an alignment. Good luck.
@crosscreekclassics3595 thank you
Sweet running engine !
Thanks!
Love chevelle's.
Thanks!
Gorgeous car!
Thank you so much 😊
Next time show how to actually INSTALL all the cables and components. Not just the after shots.
@@LonnyPayne will do. Thanks
I'm excited about this one. My next door neighbor in my hometown of Savannah, GA. had one exactly like that in the early 80's. He was an Airborne ranger who graduated in 1964 and always wanted one. It sat in his garage for years, never knew if he restored it or not... Always wondered what happened with him and that car. I moved away to go to college in 88 and my folks moved to Louisiana a couple of years later. Kinda loss touch with my hometown after all my relatives moved away or died... I'll be watching. 👍🏿
Thank you sir. Cool story 😊
Where did u get door panels and switches
Door panels are from USA1 industries. Switches are from Napa. Thanks.
Where'd you buy parts for doors
The door panels are from USA1 industries. The weatherstripping is from Precision. Thanks.
How long did you have to wait for them after you ordered them ?
It was about 3 months.
Where’s the transmission refill?
@@TM-sc5sn the dipstick tube on the passenger side rear of the engine.
Have you ordered parts from USA 1 industries and any bad reviews from them and have you waited a long time for delivery when you order parts?
The wait time is really long. As of today I have been waiting for 15 months for a dash pad. I have called numerous times and get told that it’s in production. It’s very difficult but the quality is worth the wait. Especially since the next best thing is not even restoration quality. I actually just called a few days ago to see what was up and asked them if they are getting caught up from the plandemic and they said that it’s a lot better now. Good luck.
@@crosscreekclassics3595 .... Wow I'd be calling my bank and getting my money back and leave some negative reviews on Yelp. Yeah I'm starting to read on Google that this place is a shit hole. The owner's name is Randy Shelton you should be giving him a call. Either get your money back or start making negative reviews and make it more demands about your items.
Looks amazing! I know how much work these crawlers are. Ive restored a Lindeman, MC, 40C and now finishing 430C on my channel! Your paint looks beautiful! 🎉
@@RustyWrenchRestorations thanks man. They are cool little tractors.
Could it be metal pieces in the system ruining the replacements?
I thought that. I flushed it out and it’s been fine since 😊
Nice job, looks good 👍
Thanks 👍
looks awesome bro!
Thank you!
Will this swap work for a 1971 Mark III sold new in California? The Filler neck in Calif. uses a smog type gas cap. Will the Mark III filler pipe work in the '69 T-Bird tank? Besides the vent tube, are there any other issues? Thanks very much
It should work. I would look at it closely. The cars were basically the same from 69-71 so the shape of the tank and where it mounts are the same. Other deviations can be worked out. Good luck.
@@crosscreekclassics3595 Thank you I appreciate your help
The original hubcaps are always better
I couldn’t agree more 😊
I know this video is older but im working on my 87 suburban and i was trying to remove the lock rod as you did and im just afraid im gonna break it, does it just pop out, or is there something you need to unclip?? Thanks for th help and the great video!
@@shepsbarbershop there o Is a clip that had to be pryed off.
Nice collection 👌 😊 like the 155
Thanks!!
Super nice! Are they burgundy or carmine red?
They are burgundy. Thanks.
there was a man in Hinckley IL that had dozens of them just sitting in his yard never touched them seemed like he was just letting them rot
Such a shame. Thanks.
Unbelievable!! That is one sickass Lincoln Mark VIII!! EPIC! Keep this car.
Thanks man. Unfortunately we can keep them all.
Excellent, excellent work gentlemen!
Thank you kindly!
As a 2nd. owner of 1995 Lincoln Mark VIII, I would disagree about owning the last year of these cars. 97 & 98’s are the hardest years for finding parts. Beautiful car hoss. Take care of it, I love these Lincoln’s! Still have mine till my death.
Thanks. Enjoy your car😎
@@crosscreekclassics3595 Thank you. And thank you for responding to your comments. You are a true craftsman when it comes to cars.
Tough choice but I'd go with the '67
Thanks!
Wow! What a choice. I love them both but at the end of the day I would have to go for the 2024….Why?…..Cause I just like new stuff.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
Hey Guys, Love the work and big fan of the Mark III build. I recently purchased a car in PA that I am having shipped back to CA for restoration. Its a very rare car, one of one with amazing history. It would really cool if I could get your caliber of work on this vehicle. Send me your email address and I can send over more details. Car is located in Chambersberg for ref.
Thanks man. My email is Bsmitsky@hky.com. Thanks.
The gentleman who owned that car Earl Brown was a gem. Very nice man. He told me he never used it in the snow and it only saw rain a hand full of times. Its a very gently used car. I also asked him if the sunroof worked and he said "I never opened it it happen to have it when I bought it otherwise I wouldnt have ordered it" BTW as of a few years ago when I met him he said the air stuts/ rear bags were ORIGINAL! That would add up to him not driving it in the rain and it not getting splashed with road dirt / debris
Thanks. This car truly shows that keeping a vehicle out of bad weather is great for it.
I agree!!! Btw I went to Carlisle in June on Saturday. and didn’t see you or Blake. I met you guys in 2023 with his Mark lll. Was hoping to see it again So you skip it this year ??
@@jakereal3604ya Blake graduated from high school that weekend. Hopefully next year.
Oh congrats to Blake !!! Just know you guys and the Mark lll were missed by me! 👍🏼👍🏼
@@jakereal3604 thanks. We appreciate it!!
You got to make a video of it running.
@@SGTDuckButter I’m working on one. Thanks.
Gosh, you’re making that new again. I suppose you’re not building it to sell? It’s too nice to use. Good job
@@SGTDuckButter thanks, we’re going to keep it in the family. I appreciate it.
The small block Mustang that came with A/C came with the 24'' wider radiator
Thanks. I appreciate that.
Just started watching this vid. By the looks of the "side snake", I would say you need new pins and bushings.
Well, I guess you got all 35, with no sag, so no problem.
Thanks for watching. Ya they are a bit worn, but lots of life left in them still. Lol.
Really nice!
@@jasonphelps2914yessir, with still some adjustments 😎. Thanks
What's the PN for that kit?
It’s not really a kit. The arms are all sold separately. Thanks.
@@crosscreekclassics3595 From speedway motors? I think I just found them
@@navyav8r653 I got these from CJ pony.
Was the new hardware the same or was it different(spacer etc.)? I just purchased a '77 and it had all but one bracket, and no spacer or hardware. 😢 Thanks
I used the factory hardware where I could. Everything should be included that you need. I would contact them directly. Good luck
Thanks 😊
900 a gallon jeeeez .. whys it so high.
Paint is expensive especially higher quality paint. This is a rare color only used one year so that contributes to it also. Thanks.
Did you bolt the colum to the motor collar?
Not at that time but went back and did bolt it. Thanks.
Another good job guys.👍🏿
Thanks sir. 😊
Lol, thanks Brian! I always wanted to be you tube famous like you guys.
I give credit where credit is due 😎
How is the interior of the truck smell with the new covers?
Its smells good. There’s no over powering smell. Thanks.
does the material have straight grooved lines?
Yes. It’s the correct Calvary Twill material that was used when these cars were originally built. Thanks.
Looks great.
Thank you!
How many times are you gonna complain about the same issue with the arm rest pad
Thanks for watching. I’m sharing what’s wrong with them. I appreciate you listening to the video enough to pick up on that.
The parking brake problems were a nightmare. They froze up and then an expensive repair. Very poorly designed-the last thing a driver needed to stress about
Thanks for watching.
The damaged part is actually the black plastic arm and not the actuator itself. It can be fixed with a tie wrap.
Correct. Thanks!
I fixed my blend door with a simple black 1/4 inch heavy duty tie wrap. Don't use the clear ones becase they dry out abd break. Its been 2 years now using the AC and heat at times without issues. I got simple access thought the computer display.
Thanks for the comment.
Sounds like the only real issue is matching patterns. I have a K20 single cab that I'm (slowly) redoing and so I likely won't have any issues. I know that a lot of people have issues with the stuff from LMC and USA1 is generally the better option from I've seen from others.
Yes that’s the only real issue. With me doing a crew cab and trying to keep the components original as possible, causes a little issue for me. Good luck with your project.
Portable mill = cordless grinder. I love it! Was that difficult to do? I have the EPAS kit I purchased for my ‘65 i6 but haven’t installed it yet because I wasn’t sure about this part in particular. I installed a Vintage Air a/c kit last fall with a buddy and I’m struggling now with where that motor is going to go up under the dash. Thanks for sharing…
Thanks. It wasn’t too bad to install. It’s definitely tight with the AC. Good luck.
If you think a holt is hard to find try a LAR machinery angle dozer i have one on my 420 and its similar but cant even find any pictures
I’d like to see pictures of that one. I’ve never heard of it.
I know it’s kind of off track with the video, but I was wondering what brand hood that is ? I want a metal hood with the Shelby scoop in it that I can use the hood hinge and springs with.
The hood came from NPD. It’s a steel frame with fiberglass shell.
Keep those wheel covers, I always thought they were beautiful and they really complement the car! I think I’d go with a quieter exhaust. Beautiful car!
Thanks for the comments. ❤
