Last year when I displayed the results of my “what is poetry” project at the library, I put out cards so the local community could respond to the question also. This video is my reading the cards aloud as I read them for the first time! They will be turned into a poem.

Here I am reading “Behind” during the opening reception of The Body Botanic at the Williamson Museum in Georgetown, Texas
Oh my. I love doing cyanotype. Never had thoughts of drawings for it. Thanks!! Love it.
I recently experimented with an assortment of markers and paints and discovered that a gold sharpie marker worked much better than black. I was using transparency film, because that's what I had on hand. My experiment included various other markers, including paint markers. I was able to leave the gold marker on for an extended period of time with no sun bleed through. This will be handy when working with mixed media that needs a longer exposure time.
That’s interesting and very timely since I just got my cyanotype chemicals in the mail today. 😀

This experiment is awesome. I tried this yesterday. It really works beautifully. Thank you for this Video. I asked a few companies and they could not tell me what pen to use. I was about to return a Jacquard Film Marker and I tried the pen on the Duralar paper and it did beautifully.

What did you coat the watercolor paper with?
I As I don’t live in the US generic terms would help much more than brand names, we do have sharpies but the paper and plastic brands are different. Good video though.
Dura-lar is a plastic film similar to acetate. It’s often used for cutting stencils. The paper she mentioned was a hot pressed watercolor paper. I didn’t actually catch the brand, but she did say she prefers cold pressed for the texture. Mainly if you’re using paper it needs to be heavy duty enough that you can wash it.
