Complete restoration

In this video I am polishing Artisan-designed, solid brass drum lugs prior to having them plated in chrome. These lugs will be used for the African Mahogany custom drum set build which is forthcoming in subsequent videos. The drum set will be handmade shells, utilizing stave design, and then turned on a lathe- both ID and OD for roundness. Stay tuned!

This is video 1 of a several part series on a custom drum set build using quarter sawn African Mahogany. This video involves cutting rough boards into rough dimension for acclimation to the shop prior to final milling and dimensioning before glue-up.

This video involves marking & drilling the stave drum shell, creating snare beds, drilling wood hoops, and assembly.

In this vid, I mark, countersink for t-rods, drill through holes, final sand, and seal with shellac (1 lb cut).

This video is a continuation of the making of wooden drum hoops for a Curly Maple snare shell I made previously. The video involves lathe sanding, parting, dimensioning, and machining processes.

In this video I stack glue the 4 rings that were made to produce maple drum hoops for the snare drum shell, of which was made in previous videos. I also turn the wood hoop stack on the lathe.
