Do you guys have any plans for developing a solution for air skirting the front of the 5th wheel under the bedroom and under the main slides?
Can they keep out rodents?
Hi there. While they could conceivably keep out larger rodents (beavers, etc) and skunks, a determined mouse will find their way into just about anywhere, so I don't think this is going to help in that department

I have Air Skirts! This is my second winter. Prior to inflating I went over my underbelly with a fine tooth comb. Added pool noodles to edges, foam to corners, and taped down any "pokey's". Used all the plastic edge protectors the Skirts came with. 2nd, in my humble opinion Air Skirts were specifically made for Air Streams. Those that dont have Air Streams have to make adjustments for Air Skirts to fit. So what I did was only fit the Air Skirts where my water pipes and heating ducts run. My entire RV is NOT covered, but the seal the Air Skirts provide has allowed me to not turn on my furnace unless it is 19 degress or less outside! Bunch your skirts as close together as you can get them to eliminate "air gaps". I temp 4 zones. Outside, inside, subfloor, and the space between the AirSkirts. The space between the Air Skirts is 7 degrees higher than the outside air, even though the gauge is outside on the ground. The gaps from the Air Skirts provide air so humidity won't build. The Air Skirts occupies enough space underneath that cold air cannot just breeze in. I tried insulation board one winter and the humidity underneath was always in the 90's. Oh I forgot! I have 4 1 gallon bottles of ammonia with felt wicks , mothballs, and bait stations where there are gaps.

It's filled with cold air though so how does that keep everything warm?Does it not build-up condensation which causes mold etc underneath?

My biggest concern would be that mice would chew holes and render these usless. Last year I had them chew 4" holes in my dingy which is virtually puncture proof ( unfortunatly the mice don't know this.)
Interesting about the dingy. We have never had a single report of rodent damage so I think mice must not find them very tasty.
That's a really good point. We live in our RV and there are nice around (chickens have chicken feed which nice love)

Right. Maybe military grade meant something good during or after World War II. I wonder what would be the true category name that embodies what most people think military grade means 🤔

I had great customer service and have received my product. I’m absolutely satisfied and have felt a difference in the cold weather. Oh, and they look so much better than any other skirts. I’m recommending them to all my cold & hot temp RV friends!
Roofnest car tent
This looks like a great system. This is my first year full time so I'll need to evaluate if I need such a system. My goal is to stay in the warm weather so I'm not so sure I would need them..
