It's been almost two years after I ran and I still struggle with the flashes from my severe C-PTSD. It disturbs my sleep, my appetite and specially my relationship with other people. I remember hearing that song in 2021, it used to be oddly soothing while I was trapped on that place, the constant feeling of emptiness as a coping mechanism to deal with desperation, trying to rationalize my feelings while I was there.. From the old constant episodes on dissociation and despersonalization as the escapism, I use this song to remember where I came from. Even tho I know it hurts me badly to remeber it, I rather never forget what they done there, so I could never forgive them by time and end up comming back to that place just for even more desperation.

I don't know why I remember Resident Evil 2 when I hear this song

No matter how many times I moved, no matter how many times I tried to escape, the sadness followed me everywhere I went. I often find myself awake past a midnight dreary, and have awoke to nothing but a cold room, a cold bed, I am the darkness.
