I like how there’s no cliché “villian’s intro” with the Emperor’s Castle sequence; no standard “evil theme” and all that. It’s just ambience and sound effects, and it really sets the tone of how this episode paints the contrast this show has to approaching clichés and tropes. (Obviously, this excludes the part where Lilith is in the castle itself, where there is a theme - which in and of itself honestly doesn’t sound like the classic “evil theme”.) Heck, this episode in and of itself challenged a lot of the expected tropes and ideas viewers would have about things: parts of the Eda Vs. Lilith fight, among others I’ve yet to figure out.
