O MERCIFUL LORD, with a heavy heart, I come before Thee, ever aware of my shortcomings.
I beseech Thee to pardon all my sins of this day, week, and year, those burdens that weigh heavily upon my soul.
I reflect upon the transgressions of my life, sins of my youth, my middle years, and even the heavy sins of my advanced age.
I confess the sins of omission and commission that have stained my spirit like ink upon a pure scroll.
In moments of morose, peevish, and angry temper, I have strayed from Thy path, forgetting the love that ought to guide my heart.
Yet I declare my awareness of the ways I have stumbled, in word, deed, and my very walk with Thee.
