when I first saw the movie, The Ten Commandments, starring Charton Heston, the scene where Moses comes down from Sinai, all I could do was associate this cut from Kool Moe Dee with that scene. One could say that Moses came down from the mountain with the funkiest wisdom in the universe. But when you add Moe Dee's tune, it's almost like the word of God was merged with the raw street knowledge of hip-hop. Guess that's why they call it 'Soul'.
