I remember long days of invading in Anordnen Londo. I was a menace doing greatshield emit force trolls on the archer pathway. Haaaahahahhhahahaaaa! I was never exactly good at it, but I was you could say competent. I always miss the early wild West days of online multiplayer, and everyone just takes their taste and tries their best with it. I’m like you, and that I hate matter because it takes away the fun and surprise of the game in return for just trying to optimize out when records and performance statistics. Playing meta-turns the game into a second job and I already have a job.

I'm so happy to see someone making a video on this today because the multiplayer has always been my favorite part of the souls experience. While the multiplayer in DS1 is certainly not perfect, I always thought covenants and the wacky ways of interacting with other players were so much fun (and vagrants are sick) Its honestly a shame how half-baked some of the multiplayer is, imagine what it could've been given more time.

I’m glad you had fun, but I thought DS PvP was complete ass, along with all other online features. Terrible net code, twinks and cheaters at every turn. Played the series in offline mode and would never try it any other way. But to each their own.

Seeing someone talk about DS/DS2 pvp and reminiscing about how amazing those games were to replay just for the point of making more pvp builds is a breath of fresh air. New souls likes drift farther and farther from the communal feeling of fight clubs and the silliness we all used to love in those games. I'm hoping one day we return to these roots

I wouldn't consider Chrono Trigger a "complex rpg". It is a very accessible rpg for those new to the genre. That said, complexity doesn't equal to greatness and it's an amazing game, if not the best jrpg ever made, and it is a great stepping stone into the genre..

Lol at discussing pokemon as the simplest JRPG ever while showing the hardest pokemon games known to man (the colosseum games don't mess around, the enemy teams all have fantastic synergy)

Have you played the ff7 remake? I think it’s super fun, it’s not exactly like the original ff7 in terms of combat but it has some sprinkle of those elements in there.

Parasite Eve is a Dungeon Crawler first, and rpg-survival horror second. Most people always mis-characterize it's genre.

FFVII is still getting people into JRPGS even 27 years later, I would have to warn you it is tough to get impressed by other JRPGS or games after this.

3:22 the focus on combat isn't bad, it's just different. I don't think the comedy itself was a bad concept either. I love the game's naughtiness, it's just that Ubisoft looked at that beautiful comedy & decided to ruin the joke by dumbing it so damn down it's melting in the earth's core. It really should have had their borderline T rating instead considering the little sexbomb test. Also the prototype for rayman 4 was actually way better than what we got, cuz again, ubisoft fucking ruined it! RUINED RUINED RUINED RUIEND IT!

I like TLoU2 but it has bad pacing. You should have mentioned Uncharted 2 and 3 when talking about good pacing. GTA V actually has great pacing and doesn’t chase realism like GTA 4. The mission variety in GTA V is excellent. (Stealing Jumbo Jet mid air, blowing up a train on bridge, chasing a plane on dirt bike, Robbing a bank with a minigun, Racing cars dressed in police, going underwater) It’s not just go here shoot these guys like GTA 4 and RDR1. Rockstar also used the same GTA V formula in TBoGT

The only yakuza game that i hate is his spin-off Judgment not Lost judgment, with his chase sequence, is fine like 2 or 3 chase but imagine like 1 or 2 hours doing the same thing full game, is good they learned that mistake and reduce the sequence on Lost Judgment.
