Competition is healthy for economy

BoC will disrupt the local banks with high level of competition. This is good for customers. The FDI of Asian countries in PNG has largely increased and BoC is here to facilitate its Asian population in PNG. The local banks will lose all their Asian banking clients. By banking with BoC it will help them with FX issues 100%. On that note, I agree with Ross comments that BoC will aid with FX challenges.

I think people already know about the proposed Bank of China. They might provide some products that are not being provided by our current banks. We can not presume or assume any negativity about this bank We might soon use a different currency. US dollar has dropped. It's significant in the trading market. We can not continue to use USD. The new US president is pushing to adapt Crypto Currency. So, I think it's time to change, 😅and I support the establishment of this new bank.

I think that is good given the fact the Australian owned banks like ANZ and WESTPAC Banks are closing thier doors in png. Not only banks but Australian companies like steamships, Burns Philip snd WR Carpenters closed their operations in png. Now that China is really concurring png economicaly its very said day for Australian and their Allies

True but we as ordinary citizens need more competition in our banking industry. 1 positive I can see is bringing in competition in the banking sector and lower interest rates of all this money grabing banks in PNG. A clear example of monopoly been played out is in our energy sector and also monopoly in our natural resources extraction sector. The same old companies which run the system and dont want competition. We need competition,we need to open our gates to the world. We cannot grow on our own. We need help.
