Landscape photography is my passion, on this channel you'll find some of the places I visit always on the hunt for that next image.
Foggy morning at Victoria Hill Diggings
One morning in the middle of August 2024 the fog was thick. I decided to shoot at Victoria Hill Diggings in Bendigo mostly to see the poppet head in the fog. By the time I got there the fog had started to lift but still enough to get some interesting shots!

Spring Snow on Mount Macedon

It's spring time but there is snow on Mount Macedon. I missed the best part by one day but there was still plenty of snow around when I arrived and it even tried snowing a little more. Only time seeing snow this season!
Storms at Lake Eppalock
Просмотров 662 месяца назад
Sunday August 25th was a stormy day with large hail forecast. I decided to head to Lake Eppalock for wide open space and water views. Turns out I may have chosen the only place in Bendigo where the hail didn't hit. Lightning was staying in the clouds and with rain on and off it was hard to get a photo but I did manage to get some footage over the GoPro and Olympus EM1 MK3

An evening out at The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion in Bendigo, Australia for the Hungry Ghost Festival called Enlighten. Before this visit I had not been to the Great Stupa for many years, things were still in construction! Video captured on a GoPro11 on a Falcon Gimbal but I forgot to turn off stabilisation on the GoPro resulting in some shaking in some of the video. All images captured...

Above - Chasing foggy images

Awakening to a very foggy morning I headed out and towards a local mountain range in North Harcourt hoping to get higher than the clouds. I still needed the drone to go 117m higher before it was possible to see above the clouds.

very nice! The first timelapse is incredible
Thanks, wishing I stayed longer at location 1 :)
I did this trail and it was fun as! I was gasping for air afterwards haha
Yeah the last few km really hurt! :) Great ride though
Please cover your microphone, of just mute the video.
You make the place look so inviting Joel :)
Thankyou
You're welcome, hope it doesn't rain if you're planning on riding it
It's a great spot for sure. I visited there in July 2008, which I note in this video of mine ruclips.net/video/b6l216WFpgs/видео.htmlfeature=shared&t=242 then July 2024, which I note is this other video of mine ruclips.net/video/396PFqctALk/видео.htmlfeature=shared&t=623 .The whole visitor area is different now. I didn't recognise it.
Yeah totally different now.
You were keen to go out in snow 😮
Probably the last chance this season to capture snow :)
Oh THAT'S what you look like lol. Great video Joel.
Haha yep and thanks, I don't really film myself lately. I'm in older videos though :)
Amazing photos🔥
Thanks!
#200!!!
Which state is this in?
Victoria near Bendigo
G'day Joel. I've found you on youtube as well now lol. ( I'm on Flickr) Am heading up to Lake Crosbie next week so wanted to check a few videos people uploaded. Hell of a time you had there lol. I don't want the same scenario :) I've started uploading camping videos to get the most latest campground situation for folks. Great photos, as usual.
Thanks and hope you Lake Crosbie treats you better than it did me :)
@@JoelBramley actually I’ve just canceled the plans due to the forecasted strong winds. I don’t do well with wind 😂
@@okidoke4822 didn't know it was so soon, yeah probably a good idea to not go today, can't imagine the wind speeds over the flats today
Great video, good luck with the competition.
Thanks :)
by the way ..great filming Joel
Thanks :)
permission to copy paste the video, thank you
Feel free to share it :)
Nice work Joel…✌️🇦🇺 #InMyBackyard

Thank you for posting this amazing phenomenon. I am 60 have never seen this in the Great South Land.l saw it in Alaska. We are stepping into times of never befores !!
Glad you enjoyed it. Northern lights would be amazing to see!
Great work Joel
Thanks Richard :)
Great shots. Thanks Joel
Glad you enjoyed it
Amazing. Great work
Thanks a lot!
So cool how this was made 12 years ago you must be pretty good at blender by now
If only I kept at it :)
Had a great summer swim that year there
I've not had a swim there myself, how was the water?
Magic.
Brilliant
'Promosm' 😉
Stabilization and coloring is so much more appealing on the GoPro 11. As a photographer, I have both. I am super disappointed with the Pixel! It's as if the pixel ratio is very low on the Pixel's camera and they 'Up converted, to look like it's higher pixel ratio'. My older Pixel 2XL and Pixel 4 took better photos. As well as 2010 small Sony hand held camera. I could not be more disappointed with the Pixel 7 Pro and Pixel 8 Pro! (I got so tired of it I switched to a different manufacturer of phone)
I don't mine the image quality from the main camera but the video is just strange and can't get close to the GoPro
not any relation to adam bramley
Nope sorry :)
Must be the dreaded apocalypse of climate change ...so scared
Excellent. 30 years ago the hotel at Eppalock 'the Brolga Hotel motel' used to have a competition where people guessed what day the spillway would overflow. Now it overflows rarely and randomly. I wonder if they will allow people to get to the bottom of the spillway again. Big fences prevent anyone but workers going to the bottom. Part of that has to do with changes at the pump house and excavations to clear what was washed down with the activation of the second spillway the second time.
would be good to get to the bottom again, was a nice area. I remember going there often when I was much younger.
Professor Flannery, paid by the Government, said that the Dams would never be filled again due to Global Warming caused drought.
have heard it was meant to be a hot dry summer. Even looking forwards for the next two weeks we're not seeing the temps we have in the past.
Thank you been waiting to see what was happening there
hopefully there's not too much water heading to the Murray!
Por qué?? Por qué no subes o compartes algo que merezca la pena y sea lucrativo? Esto para qué sirve?
Beautiful
What a journey! Glad you finay completed the build. Thank you for sharing!
Thanks for watching! I'm just glad the electronics all worked, never tested as I built! :)
👍 👍 How do you make the door stay open?
comes with some plastic bars that wedge between the door frame when up, probably more reliable than they real delorean :)
great
Good morning~ Jol- Yeah, that's unreal ! 👐
Thanks!
All I can say is God help us in Australia if war ever comes to our shores ..One year later (Oct 2023) and Murrindindi Shire are waiting on an engineers assessment (beginning Oct 4th) to establish whether the bridge is sound enough for a future.I'm no engineer but it didn't have a problem with 600 cubic metres of trees and timber slammed up against it for a week or two. It diverted water through the north bank instead. There isn't a modern engineer with the balls to give it the thumbs up because they wouldn't know anyway. You would have to find an older one and get them out of retirement. Same goes if you want to build a new one. There ya go Murrindindi Shire got your answer by Oct 5th and I haven't charged you a cent..Maybe the state and commonwealth DRFA funding could build a new steel bridge with the scrap metal money they got for the giant Ferris wheel at the Melbourne docklands.
I have both of these models (Pixel 7 & GP 11) and share your experience and results. My only wish for either is that the Pixel 7 would have better zoom ability similar to the Pixel 7 Pro. The curved edge screen and potential for accidental damage on the 7 Pro outweighed the "need" for zoom ability. I also shoot with a Panasonic Lumix GX85 and with all 3 pieces, have a very capable photo & video kit.
The zoom is the only bit I wish I had from the Pro version at times but couldn't justify the $300 upgrade cost.
I got the 7 pro, and I have got to say that 5 times telephoto lens is incredible
Nice work Joel
Thank you Richard :)
What time of the year is very red thanks
Around mid to late April, any later and most of the leaves have fallen from the trees
Must have camped here 5 times, makes a good road trip Echuca, then Bendigo. In winter the site is deserted.
would have been nice if you had labeled which videos and images are from which camera
sorry that would have been better than just the description. All images are from the Pixel 7, Videos alternate with the over-exposed video captured from the Pixel 7
What do you mean by videos alternate? Is the pixel the left or the right video?@@JoelBramley
Video from each swaps sides each clip, idea was to let people guess. I assumed most people would know that a dedicated video camera like the GoPro would have better quality and stabilisation than the Pixel 7 which is not a video phone.
Whatever the one of the right was first looks the better. I like more contrasty
I got my Pixel 7 two days ago. I had been an iOS user since 2009 and briefly moved away for about 5 months for a Pixel 6 at launch. The photos were unbelievable, but the videos were absolutely awful.. The Pixel 7 is miles better than the 6 was in video. It's actually perfect for how I use it.
I skipped the 6 and really never would think about video on the 5. The 7 however is great to know quality is good enough as this is the device I have with me most of the time!
@@JoelBramley is the video really that better on the 7 compared to the 6?
@@julianhotter not sure sorry skipped the 6, went from 5 to 7 and it's much better. I think the camera hardware was updated in the 6 and continued in the 7 but you'd have to check that.
Shocking damage ….
Yep it was but other areas were far more affected. Most of this has already been repaired.
Great work mate
Thank you! Cheers!
Beautiful Victoria.
