Enjoyed your video on Andy. Always glad to see him getting some attention! Cheers, Andrew.
Just a glimpes of your collection no doubt , very nice too ! John
Very nice collection Warwick! I hope we see more of this on the channel if Andy permits! Thanks!
Magnificent collection, sah!
Great to see you keep going Andy ! Well done 🎉
I know precious little about 🏏...But I do respect and appreciate the passion. And your channel has bags of it. Thanks for sharing all of this. 4:47
@@TheGentlemanScholar kind words. It's a hobby you can easily get passionate about.
in terms of cricket, I am looking for a little badge from 1938 issued by Scanlens Sweets featuring Don Bradman
Hi, I hope you're doing well! I wanted to check if you’re looking for a video editor and thumbnail designer for your RUclips channel. I'd love to help enhance your content and visuals. Let me know if you're interested! Best regards,
@@problemsolvers7085 how would you improve the video and how easy would it be?
@@andrewcollier-talkscricket1166 I’d enhance the video by improving transitions, adding engaging visuals (like B-roll), and fine-tuning the overall flow. For the thumbnail, I’d make it more eye-catching with bold text, vibrant colors, and clear imagery. Both would be fairly straightforward and quick to implement!
can you give me your e mail so I can further talk to you
I think Bradman tried to pull Bowes & hit it on to his stumps
The only wicket he got in the series
One question I have about signatures is the issue of how anyone knows if they are real or not?? It seems like an obvious thing if someone has personally obtained a signature but subsequent offerings online for example might logically be a very very different cup of tea.
@@richarddelanet quite agree. The best thing is get them yourself but current players signatures are not worth collecting vos you cant recognize them. You have to find trusted sellers for older signatures. Auction houses are generally good. But you get an eye for knowing what's good or not.
Another reason Andy Ducat is famous is that he is regarded as the saviour of Arsenal, His transfer to Aston Villa kept the club afloat in Woolwich but convinced the directors they had to move to North London (Highbury) because they could not cope with the competition from Charlton & Millwall! They retained their nickname the Gunners in memory of their foundation as the Woolwich Arsenal works team,
@@MarkPlant-vn6oo thanks for this extra info. Much appreciated.
Hi Andy. Enjoyed the show. The Bill O'Rielly Bodyline post card that you shows does not come in a series of six. I have the set. I think ten in total. Also the O'Rielly blotter also comes with Bradman. Quite a two to do together.
@@peterschfield6249 thanks Pete. I could only remember 6. I'll correct that next week. As you know I had to get a new phone. I've since lost Socc page. Could you invite me back please.
Hi Andy, enjoyed the pod today. Liked the bill orielly postcard, with typed writing on the back. Nice figurine of Larwood.
@@deangregg1266 the Bill O'Reilly is actually a blotter. Which has been used.
Congratulations on 250 not out!!
Afternoon Andy, another excellent pod . Congratulations on your 250th pod, you should be proud of yourself, all the effort that you have shown, comes through every sunday . Now, i liked the 1948/49 MCC team photograph, to South Africa, and your Jack Hobbs signed photograph, yes i will look nice framed, along with, William Murdoch, and 1926 signatures on album page, all cool items . I also liked dick Pougher advertisement, and Bradman card/ photograph. Finally, Andy, thank you for the little mention, regarding the Theatre cards of P. Hornibrook. Thank you so much for everything that you have done, over the past 250 pods, allot of people, appreciate what you do every Sunday, keep up the excellent work. And lok after yourself, Kind regards Dean
@@deangregg1266 many thanks for your kind words. Pleased you enjoy the poddies. I hope it helps encourage people new and old to enjoy this great hobby.
@@andrewcollier-talkscricket1166 yeah the more collectors the better. It's a fascinating hobby. Your collecting bits of history, holding tickets, scorecards, autographs etc
@@andrewcollier-talkscricket1166 just look at yourself and Peter Schofield and his collection
@@deangregg1266 I am proud of what I've managed to collect and hope it inspires others. Thanks for you kind words.
You are probably right with the point that Bradman most likely gave more signatures. It seems both were generous with giving their signatures and we are grateful for their willingness to do so.
Great show as always Andy. And very kind to give the Taylor cards a mention. And you had did your homework on Mr. Taylor. Well done.
thanks Andy, I hadn't heard of Albert Craig before
add me to the list if you need more sendees Andy!
@@bradmansdad we just have to register first then we are all set.
I hope that card makes the Guinness Book of Records! Great video!
@@UsualmikeTelevision hope so. We're doing all the right things i think!
Morning Andy, thank you for mentioning me, on your pod yesterday. Liked the album page , regarding 1921 Australians. V Middlesex at lords . I have the original scorecard at the match. Keep up the excellent work. Good luck at knights today.
@@deangregg1266 glad you liked the poddy.
Wow lovely stuff as always mate. Maybe next time Lara can sign that 1995 West Indies ball. That 'hand stand' statue is top notch by the way
@@salfrat55 glad you liked them. I didn't think about the ball but as you say. Next time.
I love these moments. i have an autograph book including Larwood and Voce on tour and the signatures of Indian players on a scorecard from the 1986 Tied test in madras which i sat thru for all 5 days
@@PHILLIPROWAN-q9b you obviously have some nice signatures and great memories.
As an Aussie always admired Alec--so will give him a "thumbs up"!
Afternoon Andy, l have just reviewed your podcast on 5 th February 2023, regarding the 1926 Australian tour to England. I enjoyed the small photo of SsTrento, signed by the Australians, along withe bollard postcard, especially with blazers. A nice signed letter, Cecil Hotel, London, by Charles McCartney prier to the Oval Test, really nice touch. With scorecard, 1st days play, England 280, Australian 60- 4, , with framed presentation of English Team signatures. Last thing, your large, very large signed photograph Australian team presented to George Reynolds, very impressive. Keep up the excellent work that you do every week. Regards Dean.
@@deangregg1266 thanks. Glad you continue to enjoy the poddy. Yes 1926 a good team but lost in that famous last Test.
Barry Richards is number one opener in my fave team ! Unbelievably talented !
@@paulgiddins1548 no 1 in many peoples eyes.
I'm enjoying your podcasts thanks Andy. I have a booklet here in Adelaide named "How to Bat and How not to Bat". Author is C B Fry. Published in 1913. Any interest in adding it to your collection? Richard Brown.
@@richardbrown9012 I really have enough books thanks. Glad you're enjoying the poddy's
Hi Andy, really interesting information regarding F.S.Barnes, record on club cricket. Keep up the excellent work that you do.
Will say Bradman was the greatest test batsman of all time and Hobbs definitely the greatest first class cricketer.
Hi Andy i enjoyed your show again thank you, i have concerns about grading companies, have had since they started, i do see some buy them BUT i have big concerns and am steering well clear..... i have been wrong before!
There gradings seem to be unreliable to say the least. I'm just intrigued to find out on at least one.
Really like signatures of Hobbs
Hi Andy, another fine pod, today, really enjoyed it. I enjoyed, Hobbs and E.L. aBeckett features. Surrey v Australia Oval, June 18, 19 and 20 1930. Surrey 162) T.f.sheperd 56, CV grimmett 6-24) and 249-2( Hobbs 146 not out, t.f.sheperd 65) drew with Australia 388-5 Dec( woodfull 141, e.l.abeckett 67 not out,) Shepherd 4-65) Keep up the good work.
Lenny Hutton has a lovely sig
It's Sunday night here in Melbourne enjoying a beer after work watching the video, great stuff
Glad you enjoyed it. Yes Len has a great signature. Andy.
Good stuff as always. What's your approach for storing all these awesome items? Especially the larger, more fragile ones like large photos. I've acquired some similar items and I'm concerned that they will become damaged if I don't store them properly. Could use some ideas
I have a display unit and a sideboard to display stuff plus a display unit. Quite a few photos are on the wall but a lot more in a wardrobe.
Hi. Quite a few are on the wall but unfortunately some are not on display and in a cupboard or 2. I do rotate things every now and then. The cards etc and smaller photos I file. I can look at those whenever.
I really like the 1926 Australian signatures on postcard. In 1996 I had a medium size menue, with 8 Australian signatures, Collins, Everett etc, unfortunately I had to sell it to Boundary Books, short of funds, at the time. Hopefully one day I can purchase another one in the future. Been looking at past pods, and enjoying them again. Andy how many pods is it now Keep up the excellent work, you have a lot of fans, collectors who appreciate what you do Regards, Dean
Glad you enjoyed it .I think its up to 236 pods. So going well.
Morning Andy, nice to see you again. Looking through the record books, the Australian Imperial Forces team produced a fine record of results, and we're not defeated until their twelfth match. Charles Kelleway Oxford University ( Oxford) May 29, 30, 1919. Oxford University 152 (C.Kelleway 7-47) and 247-4 ( D.J.Knight 70, F.W.Waldock 51). drew with A I.F. 391 ( J.T.Murray 133 , J.M.Taylor 104, C. Kelleway 60 , V. R.Price 6-146)
Nice one Andy i enjoyed that so many wonderful items!
Thanks MT. Glad you enjoyed it.
what do Currys & HP got us by again Andy?
A lot by the prices.
Could this be the first time 2 Sutcliffe memorabilia videos were uploaded to RUclips in a 24 hour period? 🤔🥳 ruclips.net/video/YcOUsrWMFYQ/видео.htmlsi=g7_QSALIVIqtaE2L
Would love to get a Barnes signature at some point. Love the Hobbs, Sutcliffe Hendren photo as well!

Ware of the match. Probs mention next week.
Owen Wendell-Bill opened that batting with Bradman in a 2nd class match at Blackheath in the 30s when Bradman scored a century in 3 overs !
