I remember playing this as a kid, I never beat it but it felt like I played so long and the story felt like it would never end. It's nice to see lots of people appreciating it. One of my favorite games of all time.

Loved this game. It kinda felt like this was our partner's journey, and they brought us along for the ride. Even though we came with a goal, the life we lived was beautiful and worth living thanks to them. Even after learning our truth we stuck it out for *them*, so they could go on. And you know what? ID DO IT ALL AGAIN PARTNER. AS MANY TIMES AS IT TAKES

This is such a tear jerker, as it should be. Your partner has to watch you, their best friend in the whole world die right in front of them and they can't do anything about it. This is a beautiful animation. Welcome home Aaron, welcome home. It's good to have you back where you truly belong buddy

I remember sitting through the end credits after sobbing to my partner breaking down. I was so pissed i watched the entire thing with so much hope, wishing for it to end differently, and got the relief i needed after waiting patiently

What makes this scene hurt is the fact that your partner was a coward, always scared to face tough situations. After meeting you, they learn to be brave. You mean the world to them. For you to just disappear after saving the world without them knowing will crush their soul to broken pieces. The friendship you built after all this time…the two of your are soulmates, inseparable. The very best of friends who deserve the world.

Me when i said goodbye to my best friend when no one was looking i hid myself and was crying like a big baby tears were like rivers she was my first friend i made in high school and time to time i get a little depressed about it but i just sadly shrug it off i hope i see my best friend soon.

This was an incredible experience. I played the game about 10 years ago, but the stings I feel in my heart from watching this video strike me as hard as they did back then. This was an incredibly well-done game. So much better than the corporate dogshit they release these days.

So the scene where the human disappears isn’t what gets me. What instantly makes me cry is when at the beach after reminiscing about the human, the partner breaks down crying. That part hurt me the most

On another note, I'm so glad I didn't play this game because making Grovyle disappear and THEN making us disappear right after that is just so evil, who in their mind thought "Hey, the player was just sad half a second ago, let's make them even MORE sad". But of course, since I didn't play this sad story, GF had to produce Gen5's story to make me feel sad.

I only wish for future generations to be able to experience this masterpiece of a game at least once.

I know, sad scene and all, but the music at the "Don't ever forget" part is so loud that it starts to distort which makes me laugh uncontrollably
