The weightlifter Meso, known for his innovative weightlifting training techniques, employs a "meso-style" complex where he does not fully stand up from the Power Clean into the Hang Clean. This technique is purposeful and comes with several benefits that enhance specific aspects of weightlifting performance… and it’s fun. I’ve been training for many years…am I allowed to add some variation into my training with out some less then positive comments my way?.. however here I’ll put down some benefits. - By not fully standing up from the Power Clean before moving into the Hang Clean, Meso emphasizes certain key phases of the clean, such as the pull, catch, and transition phases, rather than the recovery or standing up fully. - Keeping the body in a slightly flexed position after the Power Clean and moving directly into the Hang Clean increases the time under tension for the muscles involved, particularly the legs, back, and core. This method helps build muscle endurance and strength in the lower body and posterior chain without the brief rest that standing up provides. - Not fully standing up encourages faster and more efficient transitions between the Power Clean and the Hang Clean. This technique forces the lifter to maintain tension and readiness throughout the entire complex, enhancing neuromuscular coordination and efficiency. - By not fully extending between lifts, the lifter is required to maintain an isometric hold in a slightly bent position, engaging the quadriceps, hamstrings, and glutes continuously. This builds strength and muscular endurance in the legs - Holding a semi-squat position requires significant core engagement to stabilize the torso and maintain balance. This improves core strength - By skipping the full stand-up, the athlete has to focus more on controlling the bar path and maintaining an optimal bar trajectory for the next lift (Hang Clean). This enhances the lifter's awareness of bar placement and their ability to control the barbell throughout the movement. - Not standing fully minimizes recovery time between the Power Clean and Hang Clean, making the complex more metabolically challenging. This improves the lifter's conditioning and ability to perform under fatigue - It enhances strength, endurance, and technique by focusing on muscle activation, bar control, and efficient transitions, all of which are critical for advanced weightlifting performance. This method provides a unique challenge that can lead to significant improvements in a lifter’s overall strength, power, and technical proficiency. - and 1 more time. It’s fun. Try being positive being positive is important because it fosters resilience, improves mental well-being, and enhances relationships by encouraging optimism and constructive thinking. A positive mindset helps individuals navigate challenges more effectively, boosts motivation, and creates an encouraging environment that can inspire others. This outlook not only promotes personal growth and happiness but also contributes to better health, productivity, and a more fulfilling life overall.

Yes. 100% I don’t use any supplements at all. No creating, no protein powders. Nothing. Especially no steroids. Ever. I wont even take any over the counter medications. For many reasons. 1 - I’m here to be am example and I couldn’t look myself in the mirror knowing I’m taking whatever and then turn around and preach what I do. 2 I’m much too concerned with health and life to mess around and put anything on my body that’s not natural. Nothing… from the deodorants I use to food I eat. I do however consume high quality animals and organ meats from Bison, Elk and Venison.

I have an impingement in my right shoulder, which causes my right shoulder to drop when I go to rack a bar, which then in turn causes the bar always to hit my left collarbone, so the pad is to protect my collarbone. This impingement is due to many, many dislocations I had in my early 20s.

@@williamjames3995 thank you - It's not really an injury, as there's no pain with associated with it. It's just the way my body is at this point. And as far as competition, I can do any competition or any movement without the pad. It's just the daily training and pounding on the collarbone eventually will cause it to swell and prevent me from training as I want.

Also to be a demonstration of how I feel it (CF) should be applied regarding volume, intensity movement etc. For example .. many people think CF inures .. not true. It makes you harder to be injured (as anyone can see from this channel I’ve posted over 1000 sessions and not 1 injury. That CF makes you weak. Untrue. Will it make you as strong as a powerlifter or professional Olympic weightlifter. No .. but it will make you stronger then anyone you know while being able to do gymnastics and not get tired running etc… people think it won’t build muscle. False. I’ve coached 1000s in the gym along with hydro body composition tests and I can asure you that’s not true. I’m only 1 example. They say after 40 it’s incredibly difficult to put on muscle. @the42yearoldcrossfitter81 2 месяца назад

The small jump at the top of a burpee serves several purposes: -Cardiovascular Intensity; The jump increases the exercise's overall cardiovascular demand, raising the heart rate and improving cardiovascular endurance. -Power and Explosiveness: It enhances lower body power and explosiveness by engaging muscles like the calves, quadriceps, and glutes. -Full-Body Engagement: The jump ensures that the entire body is involved in the movement, making the burpee a comprehensive full-body exercise. -Coordination and Agility: Adding a jump improves coordination and agility, as it requires precise timing and control. -Energy expenditure : The added intensity from the jump increases calorie expenditure, making the burpee more effective.
