Big Pine Scouting for Mule Deer with Twist
nice
His antlers blend well. They look like leafless branches.
They are called antlers not horns nimrod.
How do you get to these areas?
Do you mean where is this area?
Love the videos brother. My brother and I drew a tags for x9b .. hopefully we can find some deer, Ive never been hunting over there... im holding out 4x4 or better. I may call on you for help 😅
The generic pdf on the DFG web site has overview of the area: ZONE X9b and Area-Specific Archery Hunt A17
@@airrodent I have onx..
Thank you for posting. Is such a treat to see those deer in the wild.
Looks like a migration to me. Nice. On another note if iam camping or hiking in this area do I need to worry about bears? Everyone keeps talking bears. Should I be concerned? Is there anywhere I should avoid to stay out of bear territory? Will be carrying my food with me 7 day hike.
@@RatBstrd1 check with forest service overseeing the area you are hiking in.
Love the Sierra and the wildlife!
Got a tag this year. I hope i find him. Thanks for posting.
I've seen that herd in there for years
Thanks for sharing. Looking forwarded to hunting X12 this year.
Great footage
What part of inyo what zone
x9b or late season draw G-3
This must be last season
That is a GREAT idea and one that I’ll try this Fall. Thanks!
Where in Inyo is this
About coordinates 36.7681, -118.2841
Thank you! Do have any good suggestions for that zone I’ll be hunting there this year
@Alexbarajas173 I have nothing all that solid, but it seems pre hunt scouting almost mandatory.
That’s a great buck.
Any deer out in x9c?
Not sure have not scouted X(C in 15 years
Hey MP, I drew an X9B tag this year. I have some locations planned out for scouting and was wondering if I could speak with you a bit about the zone? Is there a way I could contact you either by email or phone?
Get back to you
Hit me with questions here.
I’ve been considering heading up to Stecker Flat or Shinglemill Bench between Goodale Mountain and Mount Tinemaha. Do you think these areas could be productive, or would I be better off in the Coyote Flat area? Any recommendations would be appreciated.
@@christianelders1071 Wow missed this message. If I had the legs I once had probably Gooddale Tinemaha. Deer seem to be tougher to find of late and irratic in behavior to boot. If you able to scout both areas is my best input really. Right now just too hot to get out much.
What time of the year was it?
About November 11
Seen the biggest bucks ever. Size of horses. By South lake north lake ca. By bishop.. i cant not tell someone. Amazing.
Need some pointers well here ya go! 🦌
Mulies Galore! Great video 🦌
Never seen!!! And i love snakes wonder what area?
Are in Anza Borrego?
Yup.. I see it.
Isn't that Bishop?
Closer to Big Pine
Nice work!
Those are some beauties! You must be a ways away? The camera is picking up a heat shimmer that usually shows when there is distance between the camera and the subjects. Great work!
Thru, under and over. Nice video
467 - bellissimo video sui serpenti - ciao da VALERIO !!!!!!!!! ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
He's a great buck. Is this Yalo from MM? If I remember correctly, he photographs a lot up there. Thanks for the video.
первый
Time of year plays a huge role in seeing bucks. Hunted there some time back and saw a lot does and zero bucks. Not likely to hunt it again either.
Hunted X9B about 5 years ago seen a lot of deer probably around 150 doe’s but only 2 little bucks , hunted hard and in many different places . Would not put in for that zone again
I hunted it about 8 years ago. Seen a lot of deer and a couple nice bucks fleeing the countryside. My brother got a nice 3x3 there a couple years back. Its definitely a hard zone to hunt but it only takes one!
Wow how old are these videos
Division Creek and Gray's meadow, great places as long as it's not summer time.
What a beautiful snake, that color is just incredible.
I have a G3 tag this year. Very motivating!
Outstanding. My Dad said deer are where you find them. Been in the G3 area off and on for 60 years now. My Dad drew in like 1980 I think. Good luck1
BTW some folks with tags discussing G3 hunt on monstermuleys forum on the web
Thanks! I am just getting set up at Goodale campground now. Onion valley last week had 4 herds of does each with a rutty buck attending them. Motivational to say the least.
Beautiful elks.
Terrible camera
Hi there u have any pointers on x10
Wish I did. But the biggest buck I saw last winter was the farthest from roads or people in every direction!
Yigh. Looks dangerous.
I want to try and bring my truck to that trail. Is it gnarly?
Was at the start of trail in 2022 but not up road in a few years. At that time I would say not gnarly. Bear in mind a road to mines and similar so it is narrow and rough. A short section near the end of the road has a narrow path through rocks on each side which makes passing for full width long bed trucks a bit tricky in my opinion! Mountain roads always subect to rains and snow and such and brush scraping vehicle. Might call the local forest service department for known latest status and similar? Onx offroad app lists high clearence 4 x 4. Onx lists road as 33E401.

Great video! My son and I were lucky enough to pull the X9B tag this year. We’ve never been up there, can you tell us what we can expect and any tip or suggestions. Much appreciated
Get back to you!
Frankly have no really good inputs and I hunted X9B once only in the reqular season. Once in Gooddale area for the G3 hunt. Plus, we are coming off two years of drought. Deer might be in different places than last year because of this. Always wondered what the kill map might look like for X9B. The Stecker and Shingle Mill Benches above the Taboose creek touted as choice. Since good feed in years past and 8000 feet plus. A 3000 foot climb though from trail heads. My understanding is fire in these areas in 2019 so may be good or even better browse again? Seen tracks at 11000 feet in X9B. The best bet is pre-season scouting really. Area rugged as heck also. The deer are where you find them. Many canyons have trail heads to access different areas and gauge adjacent areas for cover feed and recent deer activity. Northern part of X9B has more 4 x 4 road access like Coyote flats areas. Sorry not more help. Maybe others can chime in?
Fantastic footage

Hello! I have been enjoying your footage of mule deer. I have a trip planned to Domeland Wilderness and I was wondering if I could email you some questions?
Little knowledge about Dome Land region really
