Inside The Mind of Marc Fennell
A Walkley award-winning journalist, documentary maker, and the creative mind behind the acclaimed series and podcast ‘Stuff the British Stole’, Fennell’s career is a masterclass in versatility and perseverance.
Marc Fennell has a ‘natural nervous energy’. At least, that’s how he describes what otherwise comes across as an unlimited source of dedication and work ethic. ”I have a natural anxiousness about what comes next,” Fennell shares on a recent episode of the Variety Australia podcast, recorded at JMC Academy’s Sydney campus. It’s why, in large part, he’s created such a multi-hyphenate career

    I don't have the attention span for Podcasts and can never sit through the whole thing, but I watched the whole thing it was so captivating and interesting. Poppy is such a great interviewer and connected with them so well, and Thomas and Ayesha are just the most incredible, inspiring actors and I almost cried a few times, they are just so down to earth, kind hearted, hard working people, which makes me love watching heartbreak high so much more. I really appreciate them opening up and their advice and thank you so much for this interview! <3

    I love their Brand. I think they are definitely achieving their goal. Some of my favorite movies lately have been their movies. I really enjoyed this one as well. High octane action and a love story? I didn’t know I needed to see that but glad I did. I hope they do a sequel. It was a fun movie.

  • @BoblopZmuda

    Massively disagree, Spotify and RUclips have done so much for new aspiring and downright weird artists. Oliver tree, electric callboy, Bo Burnham, the list goes on and on and on. If you're being rejected your projects just wank. Minchin should get a grip.

    • @Yallaredumb
      @Yallaredumb 10 месяцев назад

      You’re confusing Spotify with SoundCloud

    • @Yallaredumb
      @Yallaredumb 10 месяцев назад

      Also he’s talking specifically about the film industry, you’re referencing self promoted artists in the music industry. Oliver Tree went viral and was unsigned until 2017. He’s talking about asking investors/studios/labels for money to fund a project. Most of the time especially now a days, those entities are only concerned about return on said investment, and not so much the art and expression. They want art as a packaged commodity. Easily digestible and and duplicated.

      Youre literally naming mainstream acts with huge pull in the industry...

    • @BoblopZmuda
      @BoblopZmuda 10 месяцев назад

      @@AUDIOPHILEHARDCORE yeah mainstream acts that got their START on those platforms. They ONLY became mainstream and successful because they got a start on these platforms. Edit to add: did you think Oliver tree was rejected by industry for years because they were just being patient? No you idiot. He built a following on RUclips and independent streaming sources and then the mainstream media outlets got on board.

    • @BoblopZmuda
      @BoblopZmuda 10 месяцев назад

      @@Yallaredumb Sounds like a problem with your Spotify listening habits tbh, you can find independent, new and weird artists on both just gotta not siphon yourself by only liking big names.
