The new Morbid Saint album Swallowed By Hell is great. So far my pick for best thrash album of the year and it's gonna be hard to beat. Got the album on cd and love the Ed Repka artwork. Anyone bitching about the artwork has shit taste.

It’s funny that he mentioned the Detroit Converge show as a place that might have asked for a merch cut. I’ve heard a few rumors about that place being shitty to performers. It sucks because it’s a decent intimate space, and I’ve seen some great shows there, including that one he’s talking about. Also laughed a bit when he talked about being pissed at boring crowds. After that same Detroit Converge show, a friend said Bryan looked like, “a pissed off gargoyle” during Thou’s set. I pointed out how the crowd was mostly a bunch of old metal dudes standing stock still with their arms crossed the whole time and that it felt like he was mirroring the crowd being lifeless. Guess my instincts were somewhat on point there. Haha.

As someone from the D.C. area, I remember hearing about Deceased ALL THE TIME. Had a bunch of those early Deceased demos that got passed onto me from my dad. I regret selling them now. And Fowley bringing up Corpus Rottus. Such an underrated Death Metal band that went nowhere, sadly.

This guitar player is exceptionally good and I don't listen to death metal, hell I'm sixty-seven.
