Would’ve loved it if godrick actually had two great runes one being rannis that she cast aside and another the original great rune and he had a fake death and he was a secret boss you could find after defeating all boss types in game and you would find he had grafted all parts of bosses onto himself such as the dragons wings and fires or the magic of stone sorcery or the robustness of crystalline warriors

Beat him with barely anything using dane's footwork right after getting it in under 10 tries. The boss is not difficult lmao. Only somewhat annoying boss to fight is Messmer because his hitboxes are not accurate

There is quite a significant lore tid bit hidden in this cutscene. Calling the dragon a trueborn heir, and then calling it kin. He's related to dragons... but we also know he's an offshoot of Godwyn's descendants. Godwyn himself had a close relationship to one of the sister dragons, Fortissax. Fortissax and Lansseax were sister dragons, however, we know Lansseax could turn into a hot human priestess and she had a very close relationship with Vyke. It's not unreasonable to think Godwyn had fun times with Fortissax if she could turn into a human. In that case children could have been born human (Godrick's line comes from this) or a stoneless scaled mortal dragon (this dead one here who is heir closer to Fortissax). Since these common mortal dragons were descendants of Ancient Dragons, Ancient Dragons had to have children with non-dragon things... it was likely after the Golden Order had conquerored them Ancient Dragons inter mingled with humans in human form like Lansseax did, which is where all these mortal dragons come from. Godrick isn't talking to some random dead dragon, that is a descendant of Fortissax and Godwyn. A trueborn heir and distant relative to himself.

Just noticed that when Mohg slowly pulls the arm up, you can see there is a slight pushback; and then, when he lets go of it, there is a faint recoil and as the arm settles in a slightly different position. That isn't a corpse, ladies and gentlemen! Its alive and kicking!

i saw this guy like maybe around level 60 because my buddy had me go to mohgwyn's palace to get the rune farming spot, left for a bit, and i immediately took the shortest path directly to mohg, my buddy comes back and starts freaking out because he was gone maybe like one minute and i was mid cutscene good times

I don’t really get how his elder brother Godwyn was a traitor, he died before everything went to shit and everyone started battling it out for the Elden lord title
