In the Winter of 2019, a snow bucket steel cutting edge was $197.00 plus tax. Same manufacturer, same cutting edge from same supplier at the same location cost me $515.00 plus tax. If my math is correct, that’s over a 250% increase in cost in just over 4 years! Everything in the cost of performing commercial and residential snow removal has gone up drastically. But our snow removal rates have only increased slightly since 2019 because the competition is fierce out there to stay in this field of work. Obviously, government and bank statistics on inflation is completely falsified information to make the public believe it’s better than it truly is in real terms.
