Hi this is a short video of my jag and just to test out my new camera really :) its had a back box delete Stainless exhaust 50mm custom lowering springs Full Dinitrol and underseal treatment Powdercoated Banded steal wheels and finally a preservation detail at Shropshire car care. its just nice to drive something a little different to the ordinary without going over the top.
What wheels are they. I have basically the same car and have plans to lower it a bit and put a set of wheels with lower profile rubber. I realy like the syeel whells but what size are they and are the jag wheels or something else. ? Probably a stupid question.
They are 17 inch BMW Steel Wheels. The centre hole needs opening up a little to fit thats all. Fronts are j9 and rears are j10
@dannycooke18 awesome. I really appreciate it. I was thinking bmw can fit because the bolt pattern and center bore says they can. But actually seeing bmw wheels on a jag confirms it. I actually appreciate your help a lot more then you know. Your the only one with bmw wheels on RUclips that I can see. So I'm definitely going to look for some. Dont worry I in Victoria bc Canada so I'm copying lol but not online and not near you. Just love the look so I'll replicate it so I can enjoy it to. Thanks man. I'm also going to trim my springs 1/4 inch to hard slam it just a bit. And I have it in red currently but needs a clear coat so I'll dip it and go charcoal Grey with 5% black tint. Kinda like my mercedes you can see in my pic. I'll add a video of my collection if you want to have a look at it but wasn't going to post it anywhere other than Facebook kinda deal.
@@bluewater7211 nice dude. and yer no worries. go ahead. post a link to you'rs when its done. Just a little advice though if thats ok? avoid chopping the Springs. the jag doesn't really respond well to that. I actually had springs made for it which was a good compromise but after driving it for a year, i wished ide gone for airbags. So if you can, go for airbags :)
@dannycooke18 thanks again. I will listen to experience. I can do air. I can find the sets . I don't want to spend that money lol but if I have to I will. I honestly will probably try cutting them just for fun because if I'm switching the springs for air then it won't hurt just to have a go lol. And I a cheap cu t lol. But I had a feeling air was going to be the best option because of the amount of stupid roads we have here.. I'm in the middle of dropping the rear subframe to do the ring and pinion bearing and seals on the dif. So at the end before putting it back in I'll start pulling springs. But I have multiple cars to do things on so I'm working on it lol funds wise it shouldn't be to bad but between mercedes parts and jag parts. I may as well say I'm broke and work to afford my cars lol. But I'll have it back on tge road I a month I hope.
@@Danny-Cookewhat BMW are they from? I bought some BMW mini 17s that look the same and the pcd is different 😢
hey man, I've just brought one of these bad boys! I was going to muffler delete as well but hesitant due to ruing a previous car for motorway cruises. How is it at motorway speeds for sound? Like is it still relatively quite with maybe a bit more rumble or is it droney etc. Also looking as coilovers myself hows the ground clearance with regards to UK roads with a 50mm drop on these beasts?
Who made your custom springs? Looking to get the same done, would love to know who did yours!
what rims are those
Nice car! I have exactly same looking (except original kiwi rims) 1994 XJ40 Executive.
What is this lowered on? Looks great
Looks sick man💯😎
I have a 1994 XJ40, wish is sounded as good. Real credit to you, particularly since it’s a daily driver. Beautiful car, well done.
Great stance, what is the wheel and tyre combination please?
hi, thanks. rears are 10j 225/45/17 and fronts are 9j 205/45/17
Nice looking car. Never saw those wheels till today on an Alfa gtv6.
That XJ40 is bitchin!
What wheels are those? They're beautiful
Thanks. They are billed BMW steels which have been banded wider

Love that paint color. Great work.
Where did you get your exhaust and wheels please?
@UC7D8NACIDmreDjHO6gx_VTQ Thanks for your reply. I have a Jag xj40 sovereign bog standard. I must say your upgrades look very good. Hopefully you will make some more video's. Regards Karl
Whaou 👍 I'm French, lovely car, the size tires are perfect for your xj where do you have the wheel, I love it
Looks great! What's the tire size?
thank you. Rears fronts are 215 50 r17. rears currently are 225 45 r17 but i will be changing to a 50 or 55 at some point on the rear. i prefer just a little more side wall than i've currently got
Jesus - that's bloody gorgeous. I have so much want for an Xj40 right now
Update - I have one now 😁

@@Danny-Cooke Do you have a link to them or a model name?
