I was so excited to hear that you loved I am the Messenger by Markus Zusak. Although I haven't read that book by him yet, I have read The Book Thief and Bridge of Clay, which I both loved. Bridge of Clay is one of my five star books this year. If you haven't read it yet, I HIGHLY recommend it. It's beautiful and emotional, and it established Mr. Zusak as one of my favorite authors. It's a shame that this book is usually overshadowed by The Book Thief.

I thrifted The Invisible Girl by Lisa Hewel and the following week, I found The Family Upstairs. I'm waiting to find The Family Remains to start The Family Upstairs. I've never read her books but they look so so good.

I actually found the hardcover with red sprayed edges of Crooked Kingdom at the thrift store a couple years back and that was before I even read Six of Crows. Char, you have to keep an eye out for th Sjadow and Bone trilogy as well if you dont have it. So, so good. Nita Prose's The Maid and Freida McFadden's The Housemaid are easily confused by people. No idea if the stories are similar or not but I'm definitely intrigued. I want to read Grady hendrix's books so much and that one looks super cool. With thrifting the way I do and buying books at the bookstore I work at with my discount, I don't want to ever buy full price anymore; the prices are too crazy!! I am a major fantasy girl. I love reading cozy murder mysteries and thrillers as well as romance. by the way, I thrifted a copy of Joanna Fluke's Anna Swenson series's recipe book. They are so much fun! Dune has 6 books in the main story. Then there are so many more. It is a scifi but as you get further in the stories/books, they get very political. Side story, I own the A Court of Thorns and Roses series in their original covers in hardcover. When book 5 came (currently the last one but there's another one coming), they changed the cover. I'll be forever sad that my series will never match completely.

This month my reading has been slow but i did read 3 books so far iron flame by rebecca yarros Life and other inconveniences by kristan Higgins Forever is now by Mariana j lockingington Im currently reading summer on sag harbor by sunny hostin sequel to summer on the bluffs

Money is tight no one is donating and I'm on a book buying band and my little free library and local library is very sad 😭

Where I thrift where I live there is times I hit the jackpot of books an sometimes walk out with nothing also there is a store gives credit for your books I shop at I have the julie kagawa book series I haven't read them yet the hardbacks are pretty to me hopefully there good reads .

My favorite Value Village's book section almost always looks like this no matter which season it is. I am 45 and I still read YA books here and there because the stories are amazing but I have discovered the adult books about 2 years ago and wow! I mean, I don't mind reader characters much younger than I am but it's also very fun to read much closer to my age. Have to say that thrifting weekly will make it harder to find new books every time. I have been pretty lucky and found 3-5 almost each time but I'm not too picky. I go by covers and am willing to try anything. Buying brand new is fun but nothing beats thrifting. The amounts of book editions I have found that we can see anymore is very cool!

Our local goodwill has started selling their good books online so we barely get one row on the shelf for older damaged books now. Our Friends Of The Library store gets all my business now.

I read a few Mary Higgins Clark books when i was younger. She had a couple that weren't bad but as i got older i found her books just way too boring. Remember Me was a favorite, more of a ghost story by the sea. RIP Mary💕 Nice haul ladies! Love those covers for the series you got Char, they're so pretty!

I love Katherine Center books! "How I walk away" is really good.

Mary Higgins Clark books aren’t good to me. I just finished “Where the children are” and it was too many characters, too much random stuff happening, and it was hard to tell who was talking in most of the dialogue parts. Apparently, this is her style of writing.

One time, I found a hardcover, original cover Harry Potter, ripped spine for 14.99$ at the thrift store. That was crazy!! I do believe that they have adjusted down the pricing recently yeah. I am definitely finding more 3.99$ books lately than I used to.

Midnight Library is something that going to make you think about life, what ifs, purpose. I haven't read 44 Charles Street but I read a lot of books by Danielle Steel.

As a bookstore worker, I can say it's the spacing between the letters and between the lines. It's also the formatting of the whole thing. The space on top, on the sides and the bottom from the actual writing. I still don't know why they do it though.

I read the book with dog on the cover not spoiling it all through the book you try to figure who dunit I kept guessing the ending will surpise you i enjoyed the book I hope you enjoy your reads on vacation I enjoy your videos.

This is the first vido I'm seeing of you both and you are so much fun! I love thrifting for books. I do it weekly and almost always come out with a super awesome selection. I do work at a bookstore so I'll buy there from time to time, too but there's just something about shopping secondhand, like you said. There are book editions on my shelves I have never seen before and will never see again that I got from there and that's just amazing. I'll check out your other videos for sure 😊
