Join us as we share the highs and lows of days three and four aboard the Valiant Lady! We were all set to dock at the stunning Bimini Beach Club in the Bahamas, but unexpected weather threw a wrench in the plans, forcing the ship to adjust its course. While we were disappointed to miss out on the tropical paradise of Bimini, the crew worked hard to keep the vibe alive with onboard activities and entertainment.
Unfortunately, the unexpected weather wasn’t the only curveball-we experienced a leak in the plumbing that caused a bit of inconvenience. But the Virgin Voyages team quickly stepped in to address the issue, ensuring guest comfort as best as possible.

Hi, yes we have been to other all inclusive resorts in Jamaica, Mexico, and the Dominican Republic. We have liked all of them but Couples Negril is our favorite. We love the laid back vibe.
I enjoyed your vlog. Sucks that you guys didn't get to stop in Bimini. I sail that same ship in April, hoping to have a good time & enjoy the food.
Thanks, we were looking forward to Bimini. We’re hoping to sail again, maybe in June. Fingers crossed for smooth sailing and no missed ports.

No, it’s a bay, but you can still have a nice beach stroll in front of the other resorts and down to a local shopping area.

Thanks, we really enjoyed the hotel. The food was great and the staff were all very friendly. I would definitely stay there again.

Pros- beautiful grounds, great staff, nice rooms, drinks and food were good for an all inclusive Cons- beach was rough

It was about $500 more. It does vary depending on when you are staying.

What room category were you in?
Hi, we were in a Deluxe Ocean room. It has partial ocean view since the building sits diagonal to the ocean. We were in building 5. We loved the privacy of the tropical trees, the sound of the ocean, plus it's close to the "secret hot tub". 🙂
Did you hear anything about 2 of the excellence room buildings being closed?

How were the beaches? Any seaweed issues? I am assuming your travel was in july or august?
We were there in August. There was minimal seaweed in the ocean. There was a storm one night when we were there. The storm brought in a some seaweed, but their workers cleaned it up early the next morning. We were at the beach daily and it was beautiful.
Thanks. We enjoyed the plunge pool. We were in building 2 so the pool was in the sun most of the day. We didn’t see anyone kayaking. The waves were too rough for that. It was red flag days most of our stay. It’s a great resort. I’m sure you’ll enjoy it. 😊

The water in front Resort is pretty rough, with a red flag out often (not allowed in the ocean)

Been to Jamaica many times, and once to a Couples property - Tower Isle. We fell in love with Negril two years ago, and now that is the only place I will go in Jamaica. I will go alone in september, I dont think you have to be afraid, use the metro on daytime, take uber/taxi at the night, be aware of your pockets and bag. Thats is.
