1st rule of visiting don’t interact with no one at the pyramids .

This was really funny video. The Cinderella, which the Owen was, is the oldest and most "non party" of all of these Ferries. Also the best era of "party ferries" is long gone, years from 2000 to around 2014 were the "Golden Era", when these ships were full of ppls between 18 and 30.. 35 year old just partying (and *ucking). Those "party cruises" were actually 2 days long: one paid for 2 night cruise, Helsinki -> Stockholm -> Helsinki or vice versa, not "one-way" like Owen here. In this video the ship is literally dead compared to time 10-15 years back. Weekends during summer or "pre-Christmas time" was like Liverpool versus Man United all over again. Literally everyone were in the boar in order to party and get drunk, lower decks and cabins were full of party people with their own "JBL boom boxes" etc. The on board night clubs were open literally to 5am and full of ppls. Early at the video the bartender says that there's 700 ppls on board, well back at the days these were always full. Meaning 2500-2800 ppls on board. Thats quite bit more. And literally 80% of the passengers were age between 18 and 35. I happened to live that era, I was 21 around 2002 and we partied at these ferries a whole decade. Did 2 trips per year (once on summer, once on "pikkujouluaika" (pre-Christmas time). It was fun, oh man it was. Nowadays these ships are like ... a "shadow" compared what they used to be. Mostly pensioners and old age ppls and / or families making a field trip.

300 egyptian pounds is less than £5. So lucky to come away from there unscathed haha.

I've heard many stories of people getting pushed into shops in the towns and forced to buy something if they want to leave. Egypt is one place I'll never visit.

the party boat reputation is just reputation from the past. It ended about 15-20 years ago. These days they are boring. 30 years ago, you could book a week ticket in same cabin. Those were special charters, student cruises. Basically you just bought alcohol onboard, and brought your own food, because you could leave the ship every day, those werer "20h" cruises without destination, from Helsinki to Helsinki. Those student cruises are still arranged, but these days they are better organized. But, back to the party cruises, those days it was EVERY DAY 24/7/365. I met my ex-wife on such regular cruise.

You definitely enjoyed stringing those guys along and playing them!

To us (Finnish, who live in Helsinki or Turku) thats more like Taxfree and Buffet.. maybe ”we” should respect these Cruises more, its so casual that is nice to see how you enjoy.

Really enjoyed watching Owen. The hustlers must be working super hard with tourism in Egypt at a low ebb. It must be very hard for them, and i admire their persistence, but it must be annoying when you're politely making conversation and they give you things, put things on you and ask for money. Not sure i would enjoy that experience, i would find it hard to say no.😂😂 The amount of empy plastic bottles around the pyramids is also a bit shocking. Looking forward to your next adventure. The cruise itself can be quite cheap, but you are supposed to spend much more on the boat.

I would never accept a “gift” from someone in Egypt. They will always ask for money and get offended if you don’t give them any. I nearly caused a riot at the pyramids by refusing to accept anything or speak back to the locals. Say no more…

Silja Line was a bit more classy during the old days. Since the ownership changed to Tallink the "classyness" was brought down while pricelevel remained. Novadays Viking Line offers a bit more with less money.

I have enjoyed the other videos you made thus far. But this one was not the best you could do. It only inspired me to check how much an average egyptian salary is. And given that stat.. your 300 local for a camel ride was a steal. A steal that you are trying to make money out of by filming it. That does not sit well with me. These people called 'scammers' are working there. A fact that everybody is well aware of - including you. I think the 500 they were asking for (around 9 euros) would be on line with average egyptian income. And I assume that this line of 'business' most likely has an overhead with permits or whatever is needed to operate this crew of quite a few camels and people taking care of them... So paying under 6 euros for that service is quite an inconsiderate 'success' of beating 'scammers'. Kinda reminds me of colonalism. (And to reach an average income per day for an egyptian with 300 local, they would need 4 customers per day per camel.. then a bit more for feeding, what other overhead needed.. taking care of the animals takes time as well.. so, the three euros you saved, might make your day but break theirs)

Came back from Egypt last week. You actually ended up paying a decent price for the camel ride. Also, in the nicest possible way, it’s hilarious how gullible you are with these hustlers 😂.
