So you tried to drag a seller because you don’t like the slightly higher prices? The only part I can where you’re coming from is him listening Japanese under English copies but thats why as a buyer you need to be able to read….you may it like the tactics but clearly its not a violation since you said you reported it multiple times snd nothing happened…. This just comes off as a tantrum because you don’t like that he listed the prices higher than market which anyone is allowed to do…

Curious if pokemon resellers keep(and compare) their tally of how many people they assaulted while accumulating their inventory from the local costco🤣. Our local playgroup has been priced out of drafting these last few sets & for us as players of the cardgame, it is obvious the buck stops at collectors & online resellers. These communities are completely fine watching local scenes die if it means securing a 27% profit margin.

It's honestly so insane. I'm in the UK and I preordered 2 ETBs and 1 binder collection in November. My partner preordered 2 surprise boxes from Pokemon Center in, I believe, October. We still haven't receive them because of ''shortage'', yet people like TBell get hundreds to just have sitting around. We buy to collect but truly can't afford to do that anymore because the prices have gone through the roof and we can't even get our preorders sent out...

This is the most frustrated ive ever been in the hobby..The Pokemon Company is worth $92 BILLION dollars and they cant figure this out correctly. Nothing is on the shelves where i am... not even shrouded....

Some would think that rubbing pokemon cards to make an extra 30k they would because people go in a gas station and rob them with a 🔫 for 200 bucks. Yes, pokemon needs to start handing them self just like Ford did with the focus RS dealer markup.

People stop buying new overpriced packs, take the power back and don’t buy anything until the price goes down.

There is no shortage on Prismatic Evolutions in the US. The problem is the distributors didn't release even a 10th of the product they received. Notice a website like Walmart that has only 3rd party sellers selling PE. Notice how the price is 4x MSRP GT Collectibles is MJ Holdings. MJ Holdings distributes for Walmart, yet physical stores have no product but GT collectibles is selling at the 4x price as a 3rd party seller. No one is talking about this and THIS is what is going to destroy the hobby in the US. Nothing else it has nothing to do with scalpers etc except the scalpers that have been on the distribution level for years. They did the same thing in 2019 to Hidden Fates. Edit - Thank you for covering and addressing this. All I have seen is hype videos and honestly kinda disgusted with where we are already in 2025. This started happening before streamers/breakers but it is definitely the new way for distribution to break contract and rake in money while screwing over the hobby / fans. I have even contacted Pokemon directly over several different times through Pokemon Center support to try and plead with them to move more stock to Pokemon Center and print to demand on new sets and not take stock down prematurely. Doing this will not hurt the hobby... in the long run it will not even hurt resell value on sealed items. They are pandering to this behavior. They cater to certain accounts allowing them to buy without limits even on pokemon center. Distribution and greed has been the #1 problem with Pokemon TCG since it started. I've also been a life-long fan and recognized you on here from your eBay store. Keep doing you.

I really respected the opinion of the set at the end. it makes a lot of sense. I am still learning this Pokemon realm,so. I think I will keep my PC ETBs sealed and display them with intent for grand-kids to get them some day. I have a couple of regular ETBs found at a retail store that we will open instead.

wow that was a rough one..I didnt open my normal etb cuz i had to pay 125$ CAD. just keeping it sealed and bought some Japanese singles i wanted :)

I wasn't thinking about it until watching your video, how many do you think could be the distro employees that saw the popularity and stuff and decided to game the system that they themselves are in charge of? I'm talking Johnny the Distro Salesman sees millions of sales, says "Hey I could sell this at a high profit personally and just stream it. All I gotta do is make a website and I'm in." You also said it's more than one individual so we could be talking a salesmen and the people in charge of setting allocations to stores starting to set up a rigged system against all others. My store is going out of business because we have gotten no product for the last 4 years. We started in 2021 with Digimon and we couldn't get any on release day. We always had to wait for reprints. Then we switched to One Piece when that came out. (Couldn't afford to go into a bunch of different products because we weren't making enough.) and we were trying to get 4 or 5 cases worth and were being told we could only get 6 or 7 booster boxes. We got NOTHING. 6 or 7 booster boxes every 3 months does not support a business.

yea the pull rates are abysmal. but shouldnt the massive reprint they said they would do have a big impact of thdroping the prices of singles? also this. Also i dont think they can just reprint and make new pull rates because then it would change up alot of the thngs and people that got wrecked by the first wave would complain to much.

I’m with you on this theory. A lot of people have distributor access now. My 3 B&M maybe had 2 cases of ETBs each of Prismatic whereas the past id be able to pick up 2-3 BB for $110 out the door 😅 Especially with demand in the hobby right now, I’ll wait to get the PC ETBs from the site… People will get scammed on overpriced items & we can’t help those who repeat their same mistakes. If they like wasting money on overpriced items, drop in value & then randomly skyrocket again… let them suffer through that 😂🙏🏻 Nice take man, TikTok has created a new wave of Pokemon buying & scam packs will be crazy in a few years from S&S eras..

Just check local stock. It's not there in piles but it's there. Might have to hit up 8 stores but it's out there at msrp

DUDE SAME!! I COLLECT EMOLGAS TOO!! i'm three cards away from finishing it and now my only peeve is that one card that was never released that we'll never have.... they're such an underrated pokemon with genuinely cute art on every single card.

I understand that you're trying to help people feel better but there's a huge problem if a lot of the advice is "don't open packs" in a hobby about opening them. I agree with a lot of what you said though.
