20’ container stock room / office
I’m transforming this old dirty box into a stock room / office for a woman’s apparel retailer. Frame, insulation, paint, carpet, air conditioning, and custom clothes racks… You can pretty much make any enclosed space you want out of these 20’ shipping containers.

Patch a shipping container with a cheap welder…
Просмотров 1123 месяца назад
In this episode… I got a call for a “leaky” shipping container repair today. The site location was difficult to get into so I couldn’t use my Lincoln welder. It’s a win-win though because I got it patched up and the owner asked me to do a buildout. I’ll frame and insulate it and install an a/c unit on another video…

This is a very informative video. Thank you.
Wondering about under the floor. Have you ever insulated? Probably more beneficial in cold climates.
Never built one for cold weather so I can’t speak about keeping the floor insulated other than what I’ve done in the past which is installing carpet or garage/shop floor tile.
🤣😂🤣
What is the thickness of the insulation panel
3/4”
What is the name of the insulation. Or other brand you recommend. And adhesive
What about humidity building up behind the walls I’m in Texas
We need the dimensions and cut sizes. Please help us
You can install all this using what ever dimensions you want. Just simply measure and cut as you see fit. The “ribs” are 1x3’s and the “beams” are 2x3’s.
Omg that was like watching paint dry , or pulling fingernails
Gotta play it @ 1.5x speed! 😂
Ok. I’ll stick to my day job…😂 I build custom boxes for a living and not a good video production guy… just trying to help.
How did you secure the large insulation to the metal? Same spray adhesive you used on the little pieces?
Thank you for this video I’m trying to do my shed.
Correct, in a "hot" climate the foil side goes out, and in a "cold" climate the foil side goes in! 😁👍👍🇺🇸
Short of welding whats a good sealent for the roof , ive got some leaks
Watch this vid… I swear by this product… grind off the rust and slap this on and it will not leak. ruclips.net/video/KGXkAP0cc2M/видео.htmlsi=mUzaMIsADcx9-aTe
R5 - R12 roof ----- glad you told me that. I am another Canadian guy. R40 walls - R60 roof - and I can make it snow in July - and stay warm at - 45F On 9000 BTU heatpump and a wood stove. 3 candles if the power goes out - I use wood. Cheers
Hola soy Barbie desde Argentina!! Me encantó lo q hiciste. Me llega mi container en 1 semana y voy a hacer lo que sugerís. No se si consigo ese material de Sika acá... habrá otra marca sino?
Can you translate to English?
There are many different brands. Just check with your local stores.
Why wouldn't you run a ring of adhesive around the vent hole areas and glue a piece of screen over it? "Spray insecticide every two or three months" will be the first thing forgotten.
That’s actually a great idea!
I was wondering how to do mine in a tropical climate thank you from Hawaii. Are all foam board insulations the same?
If you buy foam core boards from Home Depot or a similar big box retailer then you should get the same performance from a different manufacturer.
I love your videos. I was wondering about that Canadian guy preaching about never using wood inside a container, you just cleared that up for me. Thanks
