MC's show is closer to a more "traditional" band show from the late 90's early 2000's. Lafayette's show was designed for the "modern" interpretation of design a la BOA...which is pretty much the national standard. It also explains why the amazing Texas bands win the music caption at BOA Grand Nationals, but not 1st place.

@@k.coleman9317 ummm. It doesn’t matter how modern or old a show is. What matters is the performance and how it’s presented and executed! And yes, I do know more about marching bands and DCI than most people on this planet.

@@Carter-0908we finished 4th. We should have gotten at least the 2nd place.

Ryle has finished 3rd the last three years and this show is significantly more difficult as they were competing BOA this year and this was their best run of the season hands down and they got 4th. They beat MC and Beechwood this year. I was in the crowd and there was an audible gasp when they got 4th.

I march for PLD, we got 3rd. I remember hearing you all getting 4th and just my jaw dropping. I do not know how Madison managed to beat Ryle this year.

Not to be that guy, but if you legit don’t know, you need to get your hearing aids and eyes checked. There’s a reason Lafayette beat Dobyns-Bennett, a 5 time BOA Grand National Finalist

Hello what is beechwoods music based off of because im from Mclean County High School and competed against them in Semi-Finals and their show sounds very similar to ours.

@@Carter-0908 Hells Bells, Dies Irae, Nothing Else Matters, Ave Maria, Confutatis, Through The Fire and Flames and Runnin' with the devil are the ones I remember.

Oh yeah-- I know what you are talking about about and we noticed that too. Unfortunately, myself and the other of us grunts in the prop crew didn't know the source for the particular segment that our bands shared in common. We were off to the side cheering for you guys though!

Okay well we used a combination of My Body Is A Cage by Peter Gaberial, Dies Irae, and Fire Bird Suite by Ignor Stravinsky. So thats why our shows sounded so similar.

Lafayette (to my knowledge) has never competed in Grand Nationals. They are extremely heavily involved in the All-State band audition process which has first round auditions in early-mid November. I think it is actually a requirement to be in the band program that they audition for All State and because of the conflict they have never participated.

@@克立张it could also very much be a financial thing, since it’s very expensive to have a whole marching band go to Indiana and stay there and many bands that do attend grand nats only do so every other year because of how much it cost

@@zionjahj yeah, attacking people for speaking out against him too, it's sad that a "man" of his stature can't take criticism.

This is his own footage he recorded with his own camera, BOX5 doesn't have a say in the matter cause its not there footage that is copyrighted.

@@TheForceComics he can still have it taken down because he had the rights to stream the competition. Trust me, I've seen him take down whole accounts because someone recorded where he had the rights to record.
