Miller's MR2
Добавлен 29 июн 2020
I've wanted a Toyota MR2 for a very long time. This channel is where I'll be sharing the journey of making her everything I want her to be.
First Autocross Of 2022 | Ho-Chunk Casino Autocross | Miller's MR2
First autocross event of the year was successful! Learned a lot about the new setup (upgraded sways, front strut bar, proper alignment and corner balance) as well as about driving. Looking forward for many more to come.

Not a flake of snow on the ground and most of the salt was rinsed from rain, so I decided to get one more cruise in and then get the MR2 ready to be delivered to storage later this week. Also tried a different video style (one that didn't involve me talking at all). If you have any feedback, I'd love to hear about it. How To Install Celica GT/GTS Seats Into The MR2 Spyder | Full Walk-Through | Miller's MR2
Просмотров 2,7 тыс.3 года назад
The Celica GT/GTS seat swap is one of the most common seat swaps for the MR-S. Most owners who have done the swap agree that the seats are far more comfortable and sit about half an inch lower. Not to mention, the install is a direct bolt in and fairly simple to do. While doing research on the install, I found a lot of helpful forums on the ol' Spyder Chat, but the few videos on the swap left o...

Nicely done sir, have the same to do on mine.
yo, i just got myself an element and I want this upgrade and ran across your video! small world :D Hope you're doing well
I have the same manifold cat on my vibe so I hope it’s the same and doesn’t cause and gets ride of my codes! And my mpg and idle gets smoother
Do you know if the 1999 Models take the same gaskets ? i would assume so since they are the same gen till 2003.
Would it have been possible to just take the bottom of the rails off the slide and swap with mr2?
So, the "clips" only are on the back? No need for the front?
Wow looks great. Considering this option for myself. Thanks for the video.
Are they more supportive or comfortable?
I got my 2009 EX used in 2012. It had 38K on it when I picked it up. I am one of those people that loves the look of it; I don’t want a car that looks like every other car. I chose it because of my work and play (bicycles), and also because at the time I had a chow chow. After I got the vehicle I found a seller who was clearing out the dog-friendly kit so I bought it. I also have some of the other available OEM accessories such as the door visors, interior bike mounts, and table legs. In the last few years I started following and working with a band, so a few months of the year I put on much more mileage than normal; now I have 113K on her. I keep it stock; that’s how I roll. It runs flawlessly, and my last tour a couple months back I was getting an almost unbelievable 30-32mpg.
Hey Miller, yours is by far the best how-to video on this operation that I've seen, and I've watched a lot of them. Bravo and thanks for doing it. I don't yet own one of these cars, but I'm suffering a serious passion to get one. Now I know I can deal with their one big drawback (if it hasn't been taken care of already) when I give in and start looking seriously for one. Thanks again for your clear and thorough instruction!
Thanks for the video. Came in handy doing the swap today!
Sounds like you did your homework on that 2007.
Well done!
Congra looks legit !! Hard word but fantastic results
I just picked up an 08 EX-P same colour and wheels. Can't WAIT to drive / modify this thing. always loved the element. Now I finally have one! 100% do up Element videos. That's how I found your channel
How often should you gut the pre cats ?
Once they’re gutted they’re no longer there, so just one and done
@@millersmr294 Since you own an mr2 is there a way we could chat with each other via text or email ? i want to know as much as i can since ive been thinking about buying one
@@itsjuskey.__ message me on Instagram! @millersmr2
I found one -2008 FWD 212milies 4300$- great shape no rust - good deal? Maroon color
Love these videos
Great video. As a note, the brightness isn’t an issue with the led bulbs. It’s that typically reflector headlights are designed to reflect light from halogen bulbs. The light chip on leds are typically in a different spot and thus the light is reflected without the typical cutoff or focus.
I was 35 when I bought an Element in 2003. I was at the high end of the demographic, but I would say this was really a gen X car, not a millennial car.
What did you do with the old seats? Want to sell the bottom covers???
How much did you pay for the Element?
Looking forward for this content I got a 07 ex tango red awd
How are the celica seats? Comfortable?
Did you replace the gaskets when doing this? About to take this job on sometime soon and not sure if it should be replaced
Yes - i recommend doing so
@@millersmr294 👍 thanks
How many miles before the engine is toast? Looking at mr2s around 30-60k miles and I don’t want the engine to be beat
I like the steelies
Great job, looks like fun
Full stiffness, that's what she said!
the low card beanie tho
No joke I’ve been wearing this same low card hat for 10 years. My wife can’t stand it but it’s the perfect hat hahaha
Thank you! I'm doing this on my LX - even provided honda part numbers!
Rad!!
I'm in the process of getting a 2006 myself. I plan to scrounge for the SC console ( GL with that, right!!) OR more than likely will remove the floor stuff between the front seats and mod a center console from an F-150 in there for the armrest, stowage and cup holders. What I'd like to know is what AV unit is in yours as of this videos posting. Looking for similar utility for my Element.
It’s a Pioneer touchscreen with Apple CarPlay! The previous owner installed it.
So clean, I'm very jealous. I think I'm following you on insta, keep up the great work.
Rad!! Thanks for your kind words. Am I following you back?
Miller! You coming up to the meet on 4/23 in MN?
Dang! I saw this too late, that would have been so fun!
Our Element was our first choice. Bought a 2010 in 2012 with 25,000 miles on it. It how has 200,000 miles on it. We are the second owner.
That’s awesome! Can’t wait to get to the 200k club.
Great video! I also have a yellow MR2 Spyder. I also need to install the whiteline sway bars. I bought them a few months ago but did not had a chance to install them. What type of set up do you recommend for the front and rear sway bars? I love how the car looks with the black hard top. Do you have any experience or know more about the carbon fiber hardtop? I can’t wait for the weather to get warmer so I can give it a proper clean and for driving it more often.
Thank you very much for watching! I’m pretty new to the whiteline sways myself. Right now I have the fronts set to full stiff and the rears to medium soft, and initial driving feels great! But my first autocross event is on May 1st and that will teach me a lot more, so I’ll have to reach back out to ya then! Unfortunately I have no idea with the carbon fiber hardtop. I’m skeptical with anything not OEM, but it sounds really awesome!
@@millersmr294 thanks for the feedback. I’m going to try to install my sway bars this weekend and I may go with a similar setup.
Greetings from the Madison area. I love my red, 2005 AWD with 220 K. !!!
Hey!!! Awesome, hopefully I bump into ya!
Love my 2003 Element.
I owned a 1986 MR2, 1991 MR2, and a 2003 Element. I don't know how I would order those cars but they are my top 3. Car #4 is not even close. I bought my 03 Element new and drove it 16 years. It had 168,000 miles on it when the tractor trailer rear-ended me and totaled the car. I miss all 3 of them.
Dang! Ryan’s just have a good taste in cars! (My name is also Ryan)
I love my element
First car was a MR2 (used) & first new car was my 2005 Element Ex which I still have. What radios has people swapped out from the stock. Thinking of putting something in with Apple Car play & Bluetooth.
That’s awesome! Great taste in cars. I have a pioneer with Apple CarPlay that works pretty well!
Any Specific Info On The Headlights? (Make/Model)

Huh, I guess mr2 owners are quirky people... I had a 1991 mr2 sw21, and im looking to buy an element too. Ive obviously had many other cars, but you're the 1st mr2 owner I see thats also into elements 😎👍🏼
That’s awesome! Couple others have commented too
Welcome to the world of RUclips, I have an 06 element and have pretty much all the same mod except for the headlights.
Sweet!!!! Thank you!
Great find. I have had two E's both purchased new. First one was an '05 classic Orange AWD EX manual 5 sp. It was a terrific car with the 5sp manual and I wish I still had it. I now have a 2010 EX AWD which I will never part with. Here is my absolute best and easy mod you can make. Get rid of the stock 215-70-16 tires and go with 235-65-16's. They fit perfect on the stock rims, no rubbing and no speedo change as they are the same diameter as the 70's. You will be amazed in the change in driving performance with the wider wheels. This is the size the Element should have come standard with. The more you use your E the more you will love it. Take a few doubters with you on a trip and they will be amazed at the Swiss Army knife versatility of them.
What tire did you go with for the 235s? All season or all terrain?
@@pcha151 For my '05 ex awd 5sp manual I put on Avon Ranger TSE's which were considered all terrain. They are no longer available in the US. Big shame they were terrific tires. For my 2010 ex awd automatic I have all season Nokians. Just depends on how you intend to use your E.
Thanks for replying! Will keep that in mind. Was wondering if I should stay stock tire size or not. Definitely wanted a wider tire though
Love hearing your journey! I ended up going with 235-70-16s! Nice beefy all terrains with no rub.
I have exact same Element but an 2008, Cat got stolen and it cost $4k to replace stock OEM cat $$$! In CA you can't replace with aftermarket must use OEM (CA sucks!) Also had to wait 3 months for the part :(
Think 🤔 I’ll do after market one thanks nice vidio
Definitely easier to do it that way!
Nice! I have a 2006 ,5 speed, front wheel drive, over 500000km hade it since new,and live in Ontario, It’s been very reliable.
That’s great to hear! The 5 speed one would be so fun but my wife needed to be able to drive it
I sold mine today. I was the original owner of a 2004 EX FDW Automatic. It had just over 138k miles. The family that bought it was pretty happy. When I saw them driving away, it hit me. I will miss my Element. Great car! Bulletproof engine! And yes my cat converter was stolen too, and got the aftermarket.
Dang!
Awesome video. I live pretty close to Holy Hill and cruise out there with my Golf R almost every weekend
Beautiful spot to cruise at!
