@edx4ever It seems that you haven't read my comments carefully. Music is very important to me, and I would never say (or think) that singing is silly. What I wrote was that, in my opinion, it is silly for Latvian singers to sing in a language that is so far from their own language and culture at such an event as Eurovision, where they are supposed to represent their country. English is the international language, so that's more or less okay, but I am not so sure about other languages.

I can appreciate what Scooch is trying to achieve here, a throwback to the classic super-cheesy pop music style, which fits well into Eurovision if they pull it off. But there's a fine line between cheesy-awesome and cheesy-awful, and this just ends up on the wrong side of it.

The only reason it "ended badly" was because Terry Wogan started speaking when it ended.

I don't care if he's gay, bi-sex or what... goodness gracious this is contest to judge the music, not their sexuality. However, speaking of music -this is not an original-at least not the music, it's a copy of a 1970 song "Love Grows" by Edison Lighthouse. Clever Sweden, very clever copy! I love the song, well Lighthouse's version primarily.
