🤔 I’m 70ish and have listened to Bono sing this 👍 (and his/U2/Edge’s others) for years. But THIS time it was different - although I didn’t care much for the overall performance, it was for a good cause. The audience was too loud with their OWN singing that it took away from Bono’s. Despite what others have written about him in many comments, personally I don’t give a damn 🤬 about his personal life and views on politics, religion, or anything else that doesn’t relate to MUSIC!

Saw this tour @Providence Civic Center, R.I. Joe Walsh opened for Foreigner on this tour. Great, great concert for 1985. In fact Joe Walsh opening set was 18 songs long. Compared to Foreigners 13 song concert set list. Hell of a show for the time.

In 1980 I busted a move… I graduated High School (at eighteen), joined the US NAVY, Completed Basic Training, completed military A School Training, proposed to my High School sweetheart on the release date of this classic song… married her 2 months later, (6 months before MTV) and relocated to San Diego from NJ. I was nineteen. We are still married with many grand children today.
