For those not from the South, Hank's original attitude on working for blatantly abusive and moronic bosses without resistance is 100% accurate down here. Even to this day, it's pretty common for people to tell others working under crummy conditions that they should be grateful they have a job in the first place and to not push back on their employers' abusive behavior whatsoever.

This guy reminds me of my ex friend/roommate. I let him move into my apartment, and he immediately tried taking over in the first few minutes. He took over my kitchen and moved all my stuff into the drawers while he took all of the cupboards. He always used to say, "I'm the boss," whenever he was drunk or sober. If we had an argument, he would again say, "I'm the boss." He did whatever he wanted in my apartment because, as he always liked to say, "I'm the boss." He got us both evicted.

Man, Jimmy really reminds me a lot of my sister (she has autism btw). The way that him and my sister place words and have the constant thing of being indecisive and pushy is infuriating yet endearing when i think about it. I mean you can't entirely blame someone thats not 100% functional. Most people just see him as stupid though and i guess that's what his character is supposed to be portrayed as so yea. I think hes still one of the best characters in KoTH
