dont worry!! everybody there wants to make friends, so dont feel bad talking to somebody, everybody is shy but wants the same thing 🥹 also the classes have lots of activities to get to know your class, so you will get the chance to meet people in the classes 💕💕

heyyy, i was also very scared!! but its so worth it 🥹 i feel like its important to remember that everybody is also there alone and people wanna make friends. The classes also help with that, we played games and stuff so:)) Yeah!! I dont remember how it was with the flights, because my parents mostly managed that, but they will pick you up at the airport no problem:)))

Hi!! I went in 2017, so the price has probably changed a lot sinde then:( It also depends on what country youre flying from, for example Im from the Czech republic, so its pretty far :D so it really really depends

hi!! thank you so much<3 that made me happy. It really depends on your age :) If youre under 18 there are some guidelines you have to follow, usually a curfew, but pretty normal, maybe like 10 pm? It also depends on your host family, some families give you a key and they dont care, like mine. Some dont give you a key and you have to tell them when youre coming back so they can open the door for you:) Its usually fine to come back late, but be careful because trains stop going super soon!!

Hi!! Ive only had a positive experience, so I highly recommend it for sure!! :) Ive been for 3 weeks, not the whole summer, so that might be a different program, Im not sure. But for me it was truly life changing, I made friends who are still one of the closest people to me, aswell as going abroad for the first time alone, that was such an important experience for me. So all together Id say, if you have the means, do it, haha. I also did a home stay and the family was lovely! :) Hope that helps, let me know if you have any specific questions.

Not gonna lie, that was the most expensive part - BUT you put money on your card and spend exactly that amount, so it really depends on your travels. As far as I know you cant get any better deals with a monthly card or something like that. I would also recommend looking into JR passes, which you can get for a week or 2 weeks or a month and so on and travel unlimited time on JR railways. If youre traveling to Kyoto or other cities it might be worth it :) Its a lot of money, but I think think to Kyoto and back is the same amount. Hope that helps!

What’s your son’s language level?:) I think I joined the second beginners one - so I knew hiragana and katakana and some basics, but they also have a class for people who know no japanese at all, and of couse intermediate and advanced aswell:) When you come in you take a test to figure out the level and you go from there. There are most people in the novice level or couse. The classes are very fun and interactive, teachers are super fun and everybody I met was also lovely. Depending on the lenght of stay and also the intensity, you could learn a lot, but for me the biggest take away was that it helped me with shyness and talking ☺️

hello!! im not sure actually:/ I got the trip as a present so the flights were included. But once you arrive there is an EF person waiting for you with a car to take you to your accomodation (check if thats the case). And then at the end my host family helped me find a bus to the airport :) And at the airport there should be english signs aswell so dont worry!
