I hate it when artists get political, not only does it prevent some people from supporting them because they can’t get past political thoughts, but it’s unnecessary. Ted is an amazing guitarist but I just can’t stand how he spews politics in everyone’s face when he isn’t even a politician

Ted's music is not. When I go see Ted, I wanna escape from the real word and rock out for an hour and a half. Not hear about "the enemy of America", the NRA, or anything like that.

I like his political crap. Personally tired of seeing Artists ( some who I even love like Pearl Jam) do shows to support a polictical side during a presidency race. And then that president win and screw the country and the Artist not have anything to say. Like PJ did OBama "change" tour. Now how do they feel? After he passed the NDAA? After he didn't pull troops? After he let those die in bengazhi? After he orders drone strikes overseas killing innocent people including children?

According to Snopes.com, not all of his deferment was for "education"... some was for failing a physical -- the details of which aren't known -- but if he's healthy enough to go on tour, he's healthy enough to go to war. So, it does appear he did something unsavory to get out of the war.

Well, if it's a bullshit story, then he lied when he told it. And for him to say he would serve if he had the chance again... well, that's a cop-out, because anyone can say that and no one can travel back in time. He didn't want to serve; fine... but stick to your convictions. My issue with him isn't so much that he sought a way to avoid Vietnam (I wouldn't have wanted to go there either)... but it's how he is such a gun monger now but didn't back it up when he was (supposedly) fit to serve.
