    What do you do with the skin after you flesh it? How do you clean the blood off?

    • @WildAnaCrow
      @WildAnaCrow 2 года назад

      The blood is removed by washing the skin. After fleshing, you can wash it or directly apply the brain/egg solution (in this case, you wash the skin later in the process). If you're interested in learning how to tan your own sheepskin, I recently published a guidebook that guides people through the process step by step 😊 you can find it in my online shop (I'll add the link to the video's description so you can check it in case you're interested). • @WildAnaCrow
      @WildAnaCrow 2 года назад

      So glad you enjoyed the video! Did you manage to find white berries? I usually harvest them in July and they are gone after September, but taking in consideration climate change, I guess it's not impossible to find them this late in the season! If they look like the ones in the video and taste good, I don't see a problem to gather them. Just avoid all those that are brown/dark.

      @@WildAnaCrow sweet! I may give it a go 🌿 yes, still plenty of white ones, some are turning pinkish/brown. I did read that they can stay on the plant until December. The texture is a bit grainy though - are they like that at the beginning of the season? Thanks for your insight 💫

      hi there! Sorry only replying now but I somehow lost your comment. Do you mean if I used salt? I usually use salt to preserve the skin, it is one of the possible methods of preservation. However, salt alone does not tan a hide.
