    The governments create trends through media etc for every generation. That way no generation can ever be the same as the last and in turn that segregates us all and separates us. If we all thought as one the governments would lose control of us all and they don't want that. Fools follow trends like sheep.

    The one thing people throughout history seem to forget is that the people who came before them and the people who will come after are just that: People, with the same capacity for astounding highs, and the lowest of the lows. Capable of wildly smart and progressive ideas just as we are shockingly stupid ones.

    I kept telling everyone that it has always been the case that the older generation complains and blames the younger generation and that this has been going on for centuries and will continue to go on for centuries to come and everytime I just hear "well this time it's different because this time we are right" and yet tgey never are.

    Every generation has a vision for reality. The attempt to unify this vision has happened over many generations for millennia. The issue is communication and comprehension, as well as unbridled stubbornness that comes with the confusion many young people experience because of social pressures. Think about president business in the LEGO movie acting on his nature to establish order. And the youth, with all their lack of experience, are making disorder. There’s a balance, and humility is a great teacher. Thankful for democracy so we can each have a part in what determines our lives as individuals and a nation. Also thankful for the conservation of great ideals and values that maintain our integrity as a nation. All of these things produce strengths, instead of weakness.

    I am reversing this argument and saying that these old nonsensical, identity denying, science denying, war and violence loving bastards will take this world for a ride to hell.. bloody bastards... the truth is that younger generations always solve more problems than the previous generations, and newer people are always more restrained and thoughtful in their actions... only bastards who believe in lies like golden period was at the start of civilization say stuff like this, truth is that we are living in the best of times and newer generation is way more thoughtful and restrained in their actions... the only people who are the reason for younger generations depression is the older generations who believe in nonsensical stories and refuses to accept newer research on several new topics... these bloody bastards will always try to harm people who have a progressive mind in one way or the other....

  • @No14210
    @No14210 2 дня назад

    The really funny thing is that all the vices and bad influences on the youth that older people rail against (whether books, music, tv, games, social media, soft drinks, corn, whatever), all of them are not the fault of the young. Most of them were developed, authorized and marketed by one or two generations older than their audiences. And ultimately brought into the house and tolerated unchecked by parents. You can't get angry at your children when you planted the seeds of temptation. It's the same phenomenon of parents who only have two modes, ignoring their children and shouting at them, but on a society wide level. You see the consequences of this when older people do get their hands on something designed by younger generations than them, like boomers on Facebook. See how that influences them. But somehow we blame children for things that they never asked for, which were brought into their lives by adults.

    The 1790 quote is very interesting so before adults whined like idiots about videogames, they used to whine about rock and roll and long before that they whined about young people reading books and watching plays almost as if they don't like the idea of young people enjoying entertainment at all and expect young people to do nothing but study and serve their elders like emotionless helper drones

    The BC ones are all kind of true, though. You will have a difficult time with bad parents. Many young people want to buy stuff to impress others or instant gratification. They don't see the benifit of saving. Alot of Confidence comes from ignorance. Usually happens when young.
